We thought the service was excellent. And a special thank you to Hamza at the Italian restaurant. He served great wine to the parents, and was so kind to our children. We returned to the restaurant for a second night and requested to be in his section, and I would recommend the same to others! (From Tierney Room #324)

The Housekeeping disturbt us 5 times during night and at breakfeast we were ignored and couldn’t order water like the other. No matter how early it was, we never got chair at the pool and the service at the pool was terrible and tooo expensive.

Housekeeping slow, buggy service slow, 0 number not answered / busy, breakfast staff not friendly, bad coffee, Moroccan restaurant food was sweet and not tasty. Property spread out and hard to walk and hence very reliant in buggies. Room not cleaned until 3pm

The gym is a disgrace. All the equipment is first generation Technogym with no Bluetooth connectivity. It has to be more than 12years old. The outside temperature is around 35°C and there is no air-conditioning. It's like a sauna! This is disgrace for a hotel of this quality.

Our stay at fairmont marrakech was exceptional! The food was a culinary delight, offering a wide range of delicious options. What truly set our experience apart was the staff's outstanding service – they were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. I have to agree with the travelers below - stunning grounds, views and hotel however the service and food was completely below average. I travelled as a family with 2 children and service throughout our stay was poor. Basic requests at breakfast like getting a table, requesting cutlery/coffee took ages. Again I am not sure if because of Ramadan they were short of staff but even the staff looked fed up, frustrated and it seemed as if they were arguing between themselves as they were unable to keep up with requests and kitchen was taking too long to prep orders. The food quality at the Moroccan restaurant was 2/5 and for a family of four (depending on the night) the average cost was £200 and the price changed depending on the night and guests are not notified. It was the same food every night and the options for kids is only pasta, chicken nuggets/chips, chicken burger etc across all 3 restaurants at the resort. Pizzas were off the menu at dinner as the pizza oven is outside and due to cooler evenings they could not accommodate this. The Italian restaurant is nice but again nothing really for children and its the same thing every night. We had to rotate between 3 restaurants and over a 1 week stay it got so boring & frustrating. Going out was not an option as most local restaurants opened at 7pm or 8pm due to Ramadan. Pool service was the same - we used to get our own towels, there is no complimentary water by the pool and the worst part was us finding nails and broken plastic glass in the surrounding greenery were the kids were playing due to an event the hotel had. Spa is partially under construction, the steam rooms do not work - if you are lucky you can use the Hammam treatment room for a steam if there are no treatments booked. There is also no jacuzzi in the spa and you have to request to switch the sauna on ahead of going to the spa. Its a shame really as it is a gorgeous hotel. If the hotel can improve service and change the food options I would go back.

I had very high hopes for this hotel and the grounds, views, pool, all surpassed my expectations. That said, I was extremely disappointed with the service. I’m not sure if the hotel was short staffed because of Ramadan, but even very simple requests - like towels at the pool, water during breakfast - turned out to be extremely difficult. One time at breakfast we had to ask the staff 5 times for napkins and water. We traveled with young kids and the hours of the restaurants were very difficult for us - lunch not open until 12:30, dinner not opened until 6p. We ended up ordering room service for the kids most days, which was a bit disappointing. The Morrocan restaurant that recently opened was extremely subpar for both service and food. The kids club was really great and we found the concierge to be helpful. Outside of that, we were extremely disappointed about the service which unfortunately make the stay not enjoyable.

We have been attending the hotel for the gala dinner. The weather has unexpectedly changed and it become very cold and windy. Ladies have been in evening open dresses, including myself. Heaters were not enough for 600 pax and I asked for a blanket, which is so basic query and you never expect that it can be rejected in a 5-star hotel. Hostess has informed that they don’t have blankets (not that they’ve run out of it, but that they don’t have it at all!). After half an hour I was freezing literally and tried again and they offered me beach towels, which I agreed as I just wanted to feel comfortable during the event. After another half an hour they came and said they don’t have even beach towels… in the luxury hotel! Really? We went to reception, where FB director said they don’t care about MICE guests and cannot help. Mr. Paul Rivet - you should be really ashamed to damage the image of Fairmont hotels. He was arrogant and rude, laughed and offered to stay near the heater all evening! We even offered to book a room in the hotel to be able to take a towel, but he said “it’s not about it”, we will not allow. I am literally shocked as it is the first time I am facing so awful relation to guests in the luxury hotel. I would not call it luxury though after this as “luxury” is about experience , but not only interior and posh atmosphere. I highly recommend management of this property to buy blankets for their FB outlets and look at how staff is following Fairmont and Accor values. It’s very sad, when one’s person lousy behaviour damages an image of the whole chain.

Just recently we had one of the worst experience, while having the big event in outdoor garden at Fairmont. Weather was quite cool and windy, and as per the hotel management they have only one blanket in the whole hotel. Drunk!!! F&B Director Paul Rivet told that he don’t care about the guests on such an a big event and only can help individual guests of hotel, as well he advices to dance more active not to get cold. At the end of conversation he told that’s good service for 5 star property. Unfortunately it was the most disappointing experience ever.

Best service, amazing property and fabulos golf course just on hotel grounds. We were visiting Fairmont Royal Palm already third time and we will be defenetly back soon. We just love everything here. Best restaurants, excellent breakfast!

We have just returned from a weeks break at this stunning hotel. We paid extra for a golf trip than the standard packages and are so glad we did. The hotel is truly exceptional in every way. Beautifully kept, great rooms, great food and the very best service. It was our first visit to Morocco and we will certainly return and can't wait to visit this hotel again. Highly recommended
