Marmaris Alkan Hotel

Great location, we had to pay extra to move rooms as we were put in a 1st floor room no balcony which you need when on holiday,nice hotel needs a good clean around the pool area,didn't see anyone do this we stayed for 11 days??? Beds and towels clean but cleaners didn't clean the shower,sink,or toilet ?wouldn't stay there again.better hotels close to Alkan,so would stay in the area not the Alkan.

hotel alkan ok under new managment hope they reburfish the place now problem was the rip off prices that were being charged was unreal food outside dining was disgusting just ripping people off getting to greedy now think twice before we go back again.

We were fairly dubious after seeing some bad reviews but let me put your mind at rest, clean hotel, very decent breakfast, lovely warm and clean pool, lots of sunbeds , excellent location, cheap pool bar , surrounded by shops and restaurants but balcony door blocks out all noise, rooms are good sized , cleaners all friendly and the dolmus literally stops at the front door a few minor negatives , fridge not brilliant no cold water in bathroom sink and the bathroom is like a sauna, air con is free and is okay but we also hired a fan , you can also request extra pillows from reception. Check out is 12 noon so no rushing to get out your room, overall an excellent hotel and would recommend it without hesitation.

Just back after an eleven night stay it’s a fantastic hotel to stay. Perfect location. Hotel was clean and can’t fault the accommodation. As for the staff they were absolutely brilliant when my mother collapsed in the reception area. They couldn’t help us enough. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone.

Lovely male Staff member greeted us In The middle of The night, very friendly and efficient, we were checked in and shown to our rooms within 5 minutes, The bar and all The catering staff were Lovely , lovely cosy bed and fresh towels and Linen every morning ,staff never stopped working , me and my family stayed from 3-10 July This year 2024 My Teens staff in The lower floor , we where on The 3rd floor with a wrap around balcony overlooking The pool,lovely view, ideal spot for visiting other places, shops bars and Restaurants so close by and The beach Really enjoyed our stay , a big Thank you To all The staff and Management O'NEILL family

Arrived about 4.20 at hotel told room wasn’t ready even though check in said 2pm asked to upgrade to a room with a balcony at a charge of £5 per night which wasn’t t a problem eventually showed us to a room at 5.20 room had no balcony went back to reception showed me another room with the tiniest balcony and very small dated room so decided to keep original room the walls had black marks on them bedding rough and wall fittings falling of in bedroom, no where to put clothes only one bedside cabinet with a small drawer and 1 shelf in wardrobe so had to keep lots of clothes in suitcase. I wouldn’t go as far as saying the hotel is spotless. Never got a sunbed but what I saw of them they had seen better days, I found staff unfriendly, breakfast not my taste. Best points air con very good and WiFi. Would I stay again definitely not. To top it off before we got there I received an email from Figen reception manager asking me to take her some whiskey from England which I didn’t mind when we got to the hotel they said she had left so we were stuck with it and we don’t drink it. Would I stay again definitely not.
