Grand Hotel Faros

We ended up at the Grand Faros after our original hotel was dreadful. From our arrival we have been made to feel welcome, like we are part of their family. The staff are always going above and beyond, the food is excellent, I'm a very fussy eater and they are always accommodating my likes and dislikes, the chef is lovely and always checks if we are happy with our meals. Room is amazing, plenty of space, cleaned every day with beds made and clean towels. Air con in every room, bathroom amazing, excellent facilities. The hotel is spotless, towels provided daily when we are around the pool, always checking if we need anything. The hotel is very close to amenities, 5 min to anything you need and there is a bus service outside the hotel doors. The manager and her team are some of the nicest people I've met whilst on holiday. I would definitely recommend to anyone, I will also be coming back again with my family

Visited Grand Faros Hotel 9th June 2023 Never again.. went to Izmir for surgery for 3 days came back to Hotel for last 2 days, the day I went home I went to put my clothes on what was laid on the spare bed to find my River island jeans missing ( had to travel home in jeans as I had to wear support stockings for plane) searched everywhere in my room and emptied my case twice. When I confronted the receptionist staff they didn’t give a Sh@t they brought the house maid to me we went to room to look & she near as damn it said I was lying! Then all I got was stares from her ! They definitely took my jeans only cleaners go in your rooms! Internets a big problem never working! Breakfast ok ! I would stay well clear of this hotel!

Grand Faros Hotel was far from grand. They failed to cater to basic needs. I asked night staff for a bottle of water as I can't drink trap water and he said no. He just seemed like he didn't want to be there. Bare in mind its supposed to be a all inclusive hotel and you can't even get water. I arrived on Monday and asked for a new towel on Thursday the housekeeper told me no tomorrow. I explained to her I have been here 4days now she still said no I literally had to beg her for a fresh towel. I have been doing alot of activities, showers ect my one towel was dirty. It felt ridiculous having to beg for a towel after 4days in a hotel. It was very easy to find housekeepers sitting in there staff room having a chat. There was not many people in the hotel it was really quite people came and left quickly. I stayed for 5days and my room didnt get cleaned the sheets was not changed. The Food wasn't great same leftovers everyday. however the chef was happy to make fresh eggs for you. Most of the staff was friendlyish especially the women receptionist but none speak good English it was hard to communicate. The room was small not great but not the worst. The TV didn't work nor the AC and the furniture is out dated. Beds was low but firm. The pool and bar is cute. Pretty to take pictures but there nothing really at the bar so you might aswell buy your own alcohol. Pool closed at 6pm bar a little later. WiFi didn't work only in the lobby sometimes. It was frustrating. The room had nice big mirrors But it had water's marks because I accidentally splashed it with my wet long hair and of course it didn't get cleaned. Lobby/ dining area floor is dirty so alway wear footwear. The beach is about a 25min walk from the hotel to the beach abit far in 32 degrees but a taxi is only 60lira. The holiday rep cuma seemef nice and bubblely. However we went on excursions and got speaking to other tourists we paid more for activities. We paid £25 for a shopping trip definitely a waste of money. We expected to get taken around abit or atleast to a market or somthing instead we was taken to one clothes shop and a jewelry shop. Instead we could of just got a taxi for 60lira (£3) We paid about £30 for a turkish bath package, others only paid £7 we then paid extra for rubbish to be honest. Will I come back to grand faros hotel? No. Did i hate it? No. Will I recommend it? No.

The Faros Hotel provides exactly what it says on the website…a tranquil home from home, in beautiful surroundings. The Service and hospitality received in the hotel is excellent and I have experienced this over the many years that I have been drawn to return. The Faros is already overcoming the difficulties of the last couple of years and I could feel the wonderfully familiar sense of ‘life returning’ at the Faros. The kindness of the Staff and their desire to ensure a comfortable stay is what draws myself and many other guests back. The pool and sun-bed area is a lovely place to relax comfortably and I find it very peace inspiring. Music played is just right for inspiring the joys and holiday vibes. Rooms are tastefully decorated, comfortable and spacious, with a choice of lovely views from balconies, my favourite the upper floors with the pool view and mountains creating atmosphere in the distance. The lovely ladies who ensure that rooms are clean and bedding, towels changed regularly will occasionally leave a creative surprise, crafting the towels which is a nice greeting to find on return from a day out. The dining area with seating available indoor or on the pretty terraced area, surrounded by greenery and flowers, breakfast by the pool is a great way to start the day, Chefs omelettes a favourite of mine and delicious variety of food served at lunch and in the evening. The Staff aim to accommodate guest requests and I would say are genuine in their wish to make your stay a happy and memorable one, be it the lovely Manager or Receptionist Team who are only too happy to arrange for the local rep to arrange trips, among the many delights, for me the Turkish Bath a must with the pampering and massage treatment tlc. A Dolmus transport services which stops right outside the Faros makes for easy access to Marmaris Centre and to the beach and local taxis are only a quick call away. Beach towels are also provided at no extra charge. I would highly recommend the Faros Hotel for however long your stay and I look forward to returning.

Me and my partner came for a 10 day all inclusive holiday. As we arrived, first impressions was the pool was nice but the hotel was outdated. We went to our room and the bed was really low down and also the mattress felt like an ironing board, it was very hard. We never got a quilt or soft blanket, just a table cloth rough sort of blanket to share between 2. The aircon was nice but was either too hot or freezing cold. The rooms were also very outdated. The bathroom was okay. I can't fault the staff at all, they were really really lovely and tried to make the most of out what they had. The bar was run down, it had a crackly speaker and for all inclusive all they had was coke, lemonade, watery vodka and gin and wines. Snack time was rock hard, dry biscuit cakes and the food was awful. I am quite fussy but speaking to everyone else on the holiday they also hated the food. Breakfast, all I could eat was bread and tea as i dont want salad or cold meats/cheeses. Lunch was half decent but same old desserts every day. Dinner was horrible, it was always the same desserts with bland sauces, bland meats and not a lot of sides. Worst food I have ever had if I'm honest so I just lived off chips every evening. We could go to the sister hotel which was stunning but it is more expensive there but seeing as we paid for all inclusive we could get free lunch there but no drinks allowed, not even a water, so we were quoted over 150 lira for 2 drinks when we had paid for all inclusive at the same chain hotel which was strange. Overall, the hotel was okay but I had the worst 10 days of not eating and also not sleeping due to the cold aircon and mattress. But cannot fault the staff. Location was also good as you can jump on a bus outside 10 minutes to Marmaris beach. Location was quiet and tranquil. Also no entertainment.

Marmaris'e iki çocuğum ve eşim ile tur firması üzerinden başka bir otele rezervasyon yapıp geldik. Geldiğimiz otel hiç fotoğraflarda ki gibi değildi. İnanılmaz kötü durumdaydı. Bir geceyi zor geçirdik sabah ayrıldık otelden. Nerede kalalım diye düşünürken yıllar önce kaldığımız çok memnun olduğumuz Faros otel aklımıza geldi ve geldik. Bizi resepsiyondaki Ayşe hanım güler yüzü ile karşıladı. Daha sonra otel müdürü Emel hanım ile tanıştık sağolsun çok güzel karşıladı ve yardımcı oldu. Faros otelde çalışan herkes resepsiyondan ,müdürüne, şefinden, komi sine garsonuna kadar herkes çok ilgili, güler yüzlü ve samimi. İyi ki buraya gelmişiz diyorum. Herkese de tavsiye ediyorum temizlik, güler yüz, ilgi ve güzel yemek istiyorsanız hiç düşünmeyin Marmariste Grand Faros Hotel'e gelin deriz.
