"This hotel is in an absolutely wonderful spot, just over Marlow Bridge from the pretty town and overlooking the river and weir. The public spaces are extremely sell-appointed, smart and comfortable. I mark service down on attention to detail: we were disappointed not to have been warned by the hotel that Marlow Bridge would be closed on the principal day of our booking; also, though we stayed for two days, our room was not serviced. In the event the bridge closure was less complete than predicted so our stay was not really affected materially. On facilities, I would say that the room, though very comfortable, was dated: though the bathroom was very good, there was notably only one power socket available in the room, far from the bed, and slightly tired-feeling furnishings. But we greatly appreciated the welcome for our dog, and we enjoyed two excellent breakfasts and good hospitality at the bar. Overall, of course we enjoyed our stay very much, but at this price level the service and accommodation could do with sprucing up."

"Party-Mittel. Gute Lage im Zentrum der Stadt. Schönes altes bestrahlte Inn. Gutes Frühstück. Wir blieben Freitag und Samstag und unser Zimmer sah die High Street über. Kunden sitzen an den Tischen auf der Straße unter unseren Fenstern, die wir nicht öffnen konnten, weil der Zigarettenrauch nach oben schwimmen. Freitag Nacht ist Live Band Nacht. Sehr gute Band, laut, fertig tot am 11:00 Uhr. Samstag, Kunden außerhalb chatten und trinken bis 2.00 Uhr Sonntagmorgen."

"Having stayed at this hotel a few times now I feel as though it is slowly going down hill. The service that they offer is poor, especially at breakfast. We were seated fairly promptly and were not returned to for our breakfast order, we had to find a waiter and place a request with them. My husband commented that his cereal was stale and the yoghurt that I ate tasted off, it was just sat on the side in an open bowl with no cover or attempt to keep it cool. We asked for extra coffee which just didn’t turn up, we had to collect butter for our toast rather than it be delivered to the table. If we were to stay again I would eat else where for breakfast and certainly wouldn’t recommend the hotel breakfast to anyone considering staying there, especially with so many eateries in Marlow. I also found that the male staff only addressed my husband which was rude and disrespectful. Overall the location is the main attraction, the rest is not worth the price."

"Visited yesterday afternoon with my family for a late lunch. Having previously visited this pub one of our party was a little reluctant. My mum has been very unwell so it was important that she was comfortable - there were plenty of cushions and shade. We were all impressed. The refurbishment is fabulous. The outside area is stylish and comfortable. The menu was impressive a great mix if traditional pub grub with some more items such as fish soup and great vegetarian dishes. The steak baguette was really good and the triple cooked chips delicious all fresh and hot. The highlight for us was the exceptional service from Elle and Yaz! Elle went above and beyond. She was patient and went out of her was to ensure we had all we needed. Yaz was caring and took time to listen to our positive feedback and was overheard to be encouraging and praising her waiting staff. Elle and Yaz thank you. Also your chefs and other staff you made our afternoon! Thank you. We will definitely be back!"
