Holiday Inn Express Marietta - Atlanta Northwest

The hotel is in a great location for those visiting the Marietta area. As others have commented, the parking lot is a little small and voices in the hallway are audible from inside the room. The positives are the friendly staff from front desk, housekeeping, and the breakfast service facility in the main lobby. Aside from nice employees in the self-serve breakfast area, the cold drinks (milk, juices and water) were cold and the hot food (sausages, bacon, pre-made omelettes, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, pancakes) were hot and well presented. They also have coffee along with an assortment of cereals, muffins and fruits. The room was clean and the property was in overall nice condition for a Holiday Inn Express. A recommended place to stay!

Your typical Holiday Inn Express... price was right and it was in a decent location. I found the hotel somewhat noisy. The water in the shower was tepid at best. The building is looking a little long in the tooth. It was nothing to shout about, but was entirely acceptable. I would stay here again.

Nice hotel. Recently renovated. Gentleman at front desk kindly helped me with crazy TV system. Other guests are the problem. Noisy, slamming doors, running in halls. Breakfast good. Small parking area. Comfortable room. Good location.

Hotel is way overpriced for what is offered. It was clean. Then the breakfast nightmare. Better come down by 9 am for the breakfast that ends at 9:30. They literally put down electric motor run curtains, WHILE YOU ARE MAKING TOAST OR STANDING THERE GETTING FOOD. The breakfast room was crowded with a soccer team and they literally cut it off like robots. So while curtain is down and toast is toasting, if you try and get said toast when it’s finished, you get yelled at. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever received at a hotel.

What a disappointment; beyond what appears to be a real scam job by the contractors, the attention to details was no where to be witnessed via staff. The workmanship on the remodel is a disaster; hopefully there is legal action toward recovery of terrible workmanship. HOWEVER, that is not the worst of my review....we arrived on the evening of the 28th checking in around 5:15; the toilet/commode was stopped up and water at the top edge. We just stopped to check in and leave again quickly for a ball game. Stopped by front desk to request maintenance and went on our way. We returned about 10:00 to only find nothing had been done; we did find the master keys (property of front desk) in our room＞＞＞ I returned to the front desk to be advised they could do nothing; there were no other rooms.....we just stood there and stared at each other; finally giving to to go back to the room and get some rest; we had to go to the lobby during the night for any bathroom needs we might have......request to speak to or have the manager call us was in vain; no reply, no action; lackadaisical attitude by every one. They had there rooms all booked and they were happy. Front desk employee advised us early Saturday am that he would "comp" the room -- that did not happen, upon checkout I was told no credit could be issued; I again asked to speak to the manager who was reportedly somewhere behind the wall ??? I was told her name was Sofia M. They advised they could not give out last name. (imagine why) 24 hours with no use of the bathroom; finally late in the day of 29th issue was resolved. Still no word from management. Still no credit. I will attach some pictures with this review; the large broken piece of flooring was where we were suppose to stand while brushing our teeth. I feel so sorry for the money that was wasted toward some of the worst "updates" ever. Vents falling from the ceiling; refrigerator did not work; plugs by the bed had no current and on and on this list could go. PLEASE do not spend your hard earned money staying at this dump. I would not have taken my concerns to this venue had the management only given me the courtesy of being a paying customer .

The hotel staff were wonderful! My husband is a little sleeper. Our first room was near the lobby and he could hear everything (I didn’t hear anything). I asked if they had another room and they changed it for us with no problem! We had an issue with our bathroom door getting stuck the maintenance was fast and friendly. This hotel did have minor things wrong, there isn’t much parking, the bathroom door is a barn door which is a little weird because it has cracks where you can see in, and the treadmill wasn’t my favorite. However, as I said these are minor things! It is definitely worth the money that you pay for it! The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, the breakfast was nice, the beds are comfortable, and this hotel is not too far from cool locations such as the aquarium. I do recommend it! I gave it five stars because the staff was wonderful and the location is good!

Large comfortable refreshed room with plenty of space and a comfy sofa and modern bathroom, although some bare wires were still hanging out the wall. Standard HI express breakfast but some items appeared in short supply, no bacon was available on any of our 4 mornings and yogurt selection was diminishing daily. Car park was dug up on our last day with no prior warning and our rental car was moved during the day whilst we were out with friends. That said generally an enjoyable stay and would use again if in the area

We usually stay at holiday inns and have always had good experiences. We paid $263.30 for an outdated dingy room. The bathroom had wallpaper falling off. Toothpaste was splattered on the wall. There were multiple outlets that didn’t work. The couch had stains on it. It was obvious they were in the middle of renovating. When I checked out, I let the new manager that we were not happy with the price we paid for the room we got and went on to tell her our issues. She apologized and said that they were only operating at half capacity. There was nothing she could do about the price. She was apologetic, but assured me that renovations would be complete by November and she hoped I would come back. Points would’ve been nice to add on for the poor room, but that was never mentioned other than my usual member 500 that I get everywhere. I will give it another go after the renovation. If still dissatisfied I will stay at the Drury Inn across the street. We have stayed there several times and have always enjoyed it.

Dirty. Disgusting. Foul. Filthy. Owners do not clean. Cigarette butts everywhere. Carpet stains. Elevators nasty and stink. Bathroom doors don’t lock. Looks like someone chewed on the doors and furniture. I would not advise anyone to stay here.
