Artina Nuovo

It was our very first time to Greece ever, and we didn't know Marathopolis or the area at all in advance. We (3 friends) came to this little charming town by bus from Athens. Excellent transportation which we can highly recommend. But it would probably be an advantage to have a car available in the area, unless you don't mind going by taxi (which we did and it worked out just fine) As we arrived the Artina Nuovo Hotel we felt very welcome and expected right away. Dimitria (not sure of the spelling) was an excellent hotelowner and director, and gave us lots of useful information about the area. Then we checked into beautiful rooms/apartments which were very clean, very inviting and looked almost brand new. (even if the hotel is more than 20 years old). The view on the ocean is stunning! We stayed for 3 nights and we were spoiled with delicious breakfast served outside in the sun every morning, receiving traditional cakes as an extra, just to give us the opportunity to taste some homemade local treats. Simply loved it! The poolarea is clean and well maintained. We were there before the high season set in. With a few minutes walk we got into the village center. Marathopolis is very small but very cozy. Everywhere we went, we were met with smiles and kind people. The restaurants/bars on the oceanline were nice, as well as the people working at the small local grocerystore. Seems like the area hasn't been "touristified" yet, which we just loved. If you need an excellent hotel and a cozy smalltown village, this is the place to go. The beaches are a short drive away, but it seems like the area is building up its infrastructure, and we suppose that local beaches in walking distances will be available in the near future. We would highly (!!!!) recommend the Artina Nuovo Hotel and the beautiful town of Marathopolis for future guests. Hope the atmosphere and coziness remains, even if they should decide to develop this area even more. We would love to go back some day! Struttura meravigliosa, camera comoda, piscina e colazione super, vista mozzafiato, ma ancora superiore è la gentilezza e disponibilità della titolare e di tutto lo staff: hanno dimostrato grande comprensione di fronte a un problema di salute che ha avuto la nostra bambina. Se sarà possibile ci torneremo sicuramente.

L'hôtel correspond totalement aux photos du site - chambres très lumineuses et grandes - propreté impeccable - très bonne literie - très bonne climatisation - piscine à l'eau de mer très propre longueur du bassin 12m - y ai nagé 1000 mètres par jour - service au bord de la piscine efficace avec de bons produits ( quelles belles assiettes de fruits) - excellent petit déjeuner !
