Accueil parfait, petit déjeuner complet et copieux avec des œufs brouillés, croissants, brownies,pomme, kiwi, flans, abricot, pruneau, café, thé, jus d orange, pain aux céréales, brioches, etc. Personnel très agréables et professionnels. Coin pour les enfants avec toboggan et piscine, partie ombragée sous les arbres bien entretenus par les jardiniers. Grande chambre confortable et très propre. Literie confortable. Salle de bain spacieuse et propre. La réceptionniste et le serveur du petit-déjeuner sont réactif et a l écoute. Merci pour ce séjour reposant dans cette belle région.

This is a 3-star hotel masquerading as a 4-star hotel. The units that were recently renovated got the landlord special: the doorknobs were falling off the bathroom door, the A/C just didn’t work (the staff insisted it did, but we needed to open the window regardless), and the shower doesn’t have a proper barrier so water gets literally everywhere despite your best efforts. The rooms are tiny giving you no space to get takeout or eat a snack. There are plenty of tables downstairs and poolside but the staff insist you cannot bring outside food even though there is no restaurant using those tables and the tables have no use outside of breakfast. The rooms are expensive for the location and amenities. There is a pool but honestly you don’t come to Portugal to swim in a hotel pool. I’ve stayed at many hotels and I’ve never had a worse experience at a so-called “4-star” hotel. At least with 3 star hotels they’re cheaper and you know what you’re getting. We actually had a better stay at another local hotel last week. A large family suite with powerful air conditioning for far less than this tiny double bed room with a vent that blows oddly humid and slightly cool air.

I visited Portugal on a group tour that included stays at three pousadas. A big takeaway from my experience is that pousadas are remarkably variable. Pousada Mosteiro de Guimaraes, was fantastic, while Conimbriga Hotel Do Paço was abysmal. This one, Pousada Castelo Palmela, was somewhere in-between. I recommend you choose your pousada carefully. The positives of Pousada Castelo Palmela are many and significant. It’s a magnificent building with fantastic views. I recommend you save some time to explore the fortress the hotel is part of, and, when weather permits, you go to the west side of the pousada’s grounds to enjoy a lovely sunset. However, the staff of this pousada could improve. I got the impression that the place was understaffed, and not all staff were fully trained. Dining was disappointing; the pousada’s restaurant has limited capacity and books up quickly, and there are few if any local restaurants to use as an alternative. To solve this, you could book half board, or reserve your dinner table well in advance. However, I don’t recommend that because, as well as being small relative to the number of guest rooms, the restaurant isn’t very good. My dinners here were frankly awful – uninspired and badly served, often cold. I recommend you go grocery shopping and bring food with you when you return to the hotel, or use Uber Eats to have your dinner delivered (as I did).

Feels like a Five Star Hotel. Fabulous rooms. Clean Comfortable and Modern. €45 for a single great value. Was given a free upgrade and a drink at the bar FOC. Reception staff awesome. Would highly recommend. I never want to leave! Easy walking distance to restaurants and supermarkets.

Location is wonderful, and so is the whole building and surroundings. But comparing price/quality there is really something missing. We spent 3 nights in weekend High season, but there was no management at all.We had to wait more than 3 hours before we could have our room, although we send a mail to ask for an earlier check in than 16.00. Not possible, we have to waited till 16.15 . We have been in many 5 stars places all over the world, but never had this situation. Thanks to Mr Joao de Sousa we we're calm down. He treated and helped us later with everything, and that made our stay good. Our superior terras room was located perfect, clean and cool, but the decoration is for that price some dated. The bathroom very small and not really comfortable. In the adults pool only three umbrellas, to protect all the guests from the sun. sunbeds we're not very clean, and the pool towels, is really not done, in a 5 star Hotel member of the Leading hotels of the world. The quality of the breakfast was 3 stars, only 2 sorts of unripe fruit, and no fresh bread at all. We have had diner several times, at the fantastic Terras outside, but please put mores covering to protect people for the extreme sunburning. quality of the food was good, specially my fish was perfect prepared, and again I say, the very kind service of Mr Joao, David, and several other members of the restaurant was really touching. They did their job more than fantastic. So overall, the place has so many strong assets, location, building, history, surroundings, but some for us important details we're missing, and the feeling that there was no management to talk with, but the location is Portugal on it's best! Es ist schön, lokale landwirtschaftliche Produkte zu servieren. + Die Umgebung des Außenpools ist so schön. + Das Zimmer ist sauber und das Bett ist so bequem, die Aussicht vom Balkon ist fantastisch. - Es ist schade, dass keine Hausschuhe zur Verfügung gestellt werden.

After about 20 days traveling in Portugal, we were driving a rental car from Albuferia on the way back to Lisboa for our trip back to the US. About past 9 pm at night I was too tired driving so we decided to stop before getting to Lisboa. We looked for a hotel online and found this one. We went past the town and got to the hotel. From the outside we could not tell how great it was. We were surprisingly very well received even though it was late at night. The place looked very nice, upscale as we went through the very well modern-industrial decorated salons and hallways until we got to our room, modern, large, comfortable, overlooking the pool. Next morning we were treated to a great breakfast buffet in a very nice dinning area. Breakfast was included in the room price. After checking out we visited the city of Alcácer do Sal before heading to Lisboa. The online price we got was extremely low for all that we got. Great place, great service, excellent rooms and food. Next time in Portugal we will visit this hotel again! The trip took place in October 2019
