Es ist wunderbar, dass es in dieser unspektakulären, abgelegenen Gegend dieses Hotel gibt. Wir haben es zur ungünstigen Zeit teilweise überschwemmt erlebt und waren froh, dass das Hotel auch unter diesen schwierigen Bedingungen den Gästen zur Verfügung steht, denn dieses Hotel mit seinem hoteleigenen Vogelschutzgebiet, in dem Wege, Stege und Plattformen erstellt wurden, ist einzigartig und ermöglicht fantastische Vogelbeobachtungen. Man könnte stundenlang auf seinem Balkon oder seiner Terrasse sitzen und den intensiven Geräuschen der üppigen Natur lauschen. Das Essen und Bargetränke sind exzellent. Der Pool geht in einen See über und ist traumhaft schön. Auch wenn das Hotel nicht perfekt ist (die feuchte Umgebung beansprucht die Substanz sehr), nicht zögern, hier zu buchen. Wir waren leider nur für eine Nacht hier und wären gerne länger geblieben.

Best place to stay in Mannar! Ambience of this hotel is really nice. Delicious foods. Manthai rice and curd pudding was my favorite. There were many places to visit like Wind farms, adams bridge, Thaleimannar light house, Thaleimannar peir, keeri beach etc. Overall experience was exceptional!

The room was great, plenty of space with separate shower and toilet rooms. Balcony was a good size with ceiling fan. The pool was nice, mostly shallow so it's not a pool for doing lengths in. The staff were excellent, very friendly and spoke great English. The food was amazing, cooked fresh every day with local ingredients. The staff would present that days menu options earlier in the day for you to choose from, we typically had 2-3 options and were there in an off-season. Highly recommend. Make sure you visit the donkey clinic!

Upon arrival, we were surprised by the vastness of the property and the paths through the indigenous vegetation. We had a wonderful room with a terrace overlooking the treetops, from where the start of bird spotting began. The staff could not have been mire delightful and my special tour, given by the manager early in the morning was indeed very special. The Donkey Sanctuary next door is a Must Visit !! The sensitivity to the environment is paramount and wonderful. The food too was totally yummy.

It was my second visit with my daughter's family. They really enjoyed their stay and the excellent food. We had their signature dish 'Manthai Rice' which was served on a Palmyrah leaf which my grand daughters enjoyed alot. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice comfortable rooms. We even had a morning birding session with the Manager around the property and saw some resident birds. I would really recommend this place to anyone and will definitely visit again for the Flamingo season.

Disappointed, never again! The staff were friendly and courteous, anxious to please. Our room was spacious and clean. However the wifi was non existent, TV worked intermittently, they charge extra for some stations and the phone in our room did not work. The food choices were limited, very basic. The pool was dirty and the area unkept. The public washroom adjacent to the dining area was not clean. We did express our concerns to the manager, he said he would meet us at checkout but didn’t show up.

A decent stay but a bit disappointing to be honest. This was a family of 5 for one night. The room was nice although quite basic. The pool was not in good condition and no attendant nor phone was present. The dining options were limited. Overall the stay was somewhat disappointing as we had high hopes. Too bad because there is lots of potential.

Bit too pricey for the value but its the only proper hotel in Mannar Pros: 1. Great location 2. Has a pool 3. Supportive and friendly staff 4. Very clean 5. Good Internet inside room 6. You can enjoy the sunset in the evening Cons: 1. Food are very basic 2. Rooms are quite basic 3. Some component of the washroom could use an upgrade

Five of us stayed for three nights and booked a suite and a room. Great location. Fantastic service with guest oriented staff. Rooms were large, comfortable and clean. Bathrooms too were good. If we go to Mannar again shall certainly stay at the Palmyrah House.
