We stayed at Lake Lodge Cabins for 3 nights while visiting Yellowstone National Park. If you're looking for a no-frills place to sleep, then this lodging will probably work for you, but it was too small for our family of 4. The beds were double beds and there was not much room to move around inside of the cabin. The bathroom had a shower stall and toilet, and the sink was outside of the room, taking up more space in the cabin. The big perk for staying in the park is that you're ahead of the crowds when you start your day, and the second morning we woke up there were a bunch of elk outside of our cabin which was really cool. The only place to eat was Wiley's Canteen, which has food that will bring you back to your college days but costs triple the price. We went to the Lake Yellowstone Hotel for breakfast one morning which was excellent. The Lake Village area is kind of out of the way; it's a short ride to Canyon, but you have to drive around the lake or up through Canyon and Norris to get to the Old Faithful area. On the other hand, if you stay in the Old Faithful area, you're only 30 minutes from West Yellowstone which has better dining options. If you want to be in the park and there are only 2 or 3 in your group, then this may be a good option.
