Fourth day of our honeymoon organized by Turisanda, we stop in Malang, where we find our hotel waiting for us. Tired from the journey, after hours on the train and bus, we hope to finally take a shower and lie down in bed, but unfortunately, the room assigned to us will reserve an unpleasant surprise for us. Bathroom with tub and curtain dirty with hair and stained and dirty sheets. I decide to go to reception and explain the problem, and without hesitation they decide to change my room with a similar one. After being accompanied to the new room by the reception staff, I noticed with displeasure in front of them that the new room presents the same problems. They then changed the sheets several times until they finally found clean, stain-free ones and the towels. As per Indonesian custom, the staff were very kind and friendly in listening to our requests, and apologized several times, and I was also offered the suite. The hotel appears new and the reception is very spacious and large, it has a swimming pool and friendly staff, but it has an obvious problem with the laundry, and certainly, the cleanliness standards do not reflect those of a 4 star in any other location in the world. I don't feel like recommending it for stays longer than 1/2 night in malang.

Das Zimmer ist sauber und die Lage ist strategisch genug, um im Zentrum von Malang City mit einem nahe gelegenen Mart- und Kaffeegeschäft zu sein. Ich liebe es, wieder in Ibis zu kommen und zu bleiben. Danke Ibis!

Dieses Hotel hat den schlimmsten Service, den ich je erlebt habe. Und das Front Desk, FENI. und der Manager ANIE sind die schlimmsten Menschen, die ich je in der Gastfreundschaftsindustrie kennen gelernt habe. (Fotos beigefügt). Mein Erlebnis war, ich kam mit zwei anderen Leuten. Buchung und Zahlung zwei Zimmer für 3 Tage 2 Nächte. Check in, die Front Desk Lady ist überhaupt nicht warm. Sehr brutal. Und sie bat um Einzahlung. Und ich sagte, ich habe kein Geld, so dass ich nur zuerst ins Zimmer gehen werde, und warten, bis mein anderer Freund vom Flughafen ankommt, um die Einzahlung später zu zahlen. Sie sagte stolz Nein. Ich fragte freundlich, aber sie sagte wieder Nein. Sie sagte, ich müsse nur warten oder meine Kreditkarte verwenden. Und weil ihre Haltung schon schrecklich war, weigerte ich mich, mit ihrem Antrag zu gehen. Sie fügte dann hinzu: ”Du bist aus der großen Stadt, unmöglich, du hast kein Geld.” Unglaublich. Lange Geschichte kurz, ich fragte den Manager und überraschend, der Manager ist auch keine Hilfe. Sie ist noch schlimmer. Einmal sagte sie: ”Du hast kein Geld? Die Leute aus der großen Stadt müssen eine Kreditkarte haben? Doch ich habe immer noch um Hilfe und Verständnis gebeten, in ein paar Stunden zu bezahlen. Sie sagte ok, (rudlich) gebeten um eine ID-Karte von drei von uns, bis wir die Einzahlung bezahlen. Dann stimme ich zu. Aber weil ich meine Tasche zu Hause verließ, gab ich ihr meinen Pass. Und sie berührte den Pass und sagte stolz: ”Ich will nicht, ich will die ID-Karte!”. Ich verstehe nicht, wie sie den Pass nicht als legitime Regierungs-ID betrachtet. Dann beschlossen wir, besser zu verlassen und ein anderes Hotel zu buchen anstatt auf diesem bereits zu bleiben HORRIBLE Gastfreundschaft. Sie wollen uns auch nicht zurückgeben. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. NICHT STAY

Ich blieb für eine Nacht. Es ist nicht weit von der Bahnhof, weniger als 20 Minuten zu Fuß. Das Hotel erlaubte mir, früher zu checken trotz keiner persönlichen Anfrage beim Buchen. Ich habe den günstigsten Preis ohne Frühstück reserviert, weil ich nicht wusste, was sie für das Frühstück in diesen Zeiten bieten. Eine Sache, die ich mir am meisten erinnern, ist, dass das Handtuch und die Leinen lukten schön, ich denke es ist Jasmine. Ausstattung waren genug, einschließlich Slips. Das Bett und die Kissen waren bequem. Gepäckschrank und Türhandhabung waren nicht in guter Zustand (Schrauben waren los), und die Sicherheitsbox war geschlossen, ich konnte sie nicht verwenden. Das Hotel hat Instrumentalmusik auf Sprechern gespielt, aber es ist ziemlich störend, wenn es 10 Uhr ist und Sie es aus dem Zimmer hören können. Sauberkeit muss verbessert werden. Ich fand die Schmutz des vorherigen Gästes unter dem Bettrahmen, und das öffentliche Schlafzimmer auf der Lobby war nicht sauber genug. Rezeptionisten waren ok, ich habe nicht mit anderen Mitarbeitern interagiert. Ich will nicht wieder hier bleiben.

The hotel is right beside MOG, 1 of the biggest Mall in Malang. They also has basement connector from Hotel to Mall so you wont get wet when its rain. The hotel room is clean. If you are lucky, you can see mountain from your room. The variaties of food not so many, i have to queue for long to get my eggs ready. They have good jamu (beras kencur, sinom and kunyit asem). If you are never been to Malang, i recommended you stayed in this hotel since near to many food places such as Gang Djangrik, Pecel Kawi, Bakso President, etc.

All I can say, this hotel is worth every time we spend the day. From the cleanliness to the service, from the building to the supporting facilities like fitness center and pool. Every aspect is very well-managed. Furthermore, the location is just another advantage, situated at the heart of Malang plus conencted with two local malls which provides almost everything we need to buy when it comes to fulfill our needs during our stay.

If you'd like a hotel with a view in Malang, and centrally located inside the city, this is the hotel for you. It gives me a great value for the money. I stayed at standard twin bed room with a balcony with mountain view. The location is superb. I can walk 10-15 minutes to Kawi Street, where many restaurants located. However, a few things that can be improved. I went to the gym at 6 am, and no one there. However, AC wasn't turned on. So, after 20 minutes of intense workouts, you'll be drenched with sweat. No towel inside the gym was available. Bring your own from your room and bottle water as well. Maintenance and house keeping can be improved. I visited my sister who stayed on the 7th fl executive suite, and there was a hole in the curtain. And the room could use more deep cleaning. The bed sheets in my room can be replaced with the one without hole in it. With the years, some of the amenities could be replaced.

Rein und frisch Hotel. Auch wir wagen nie zu schwimmen wegen des kalten Wetters, wir genießen in jeder Zeit, wenn wir dieses Hotel kommen. Versuchen Sie einfach, überdenken, um Wohnungsraum zu vermieten, wo im Aam Gebäude. die Wohnung sind nicht sauber und viele Pilze unter dem Bett und Pantry-Bereich.

I was staying there with my family. Totally got Balinese vibes with a good ambience. Room is just common as usual but the outdoor area is great. Maybe you need to improve your hospitality of staffs. Sorry, as I am a hotelier too, I would say the hospitality should be increased more. I was about to re-schedule my stay but I canceled because it was not FOC. But then when I checked-in the staff was asking me for the charge of re-schedule (in fact I didn't re-schedule). I mean how could you missed it? I also was asking for the hairdryer to be sent to my room but the staff didn't give it directly until I need to call back and remind and no sorry at all on the phone. Oh I can't remember the name but there was a guy that assist me to the room and when I met him in the next day he still remembered me and greeting me in polite way. I didn't get his name but he has clear skin and thin body. Say my thank to him. But overall it was great to have you (Ubud Cottage Malang) for my holiday. Seriously, didn't mean to say anything bad. It was just suggestion to improve. Thanks

They has rooms with different themes, so you can talk to the hotel about what type of room you want. But there's no guarantee that you can always choose. I mean they could be very crowded at peak season. This hotel is definitely a heaven to 3-8 years old kids. They has lots of kids-friendly facilities, like small indoor playground, swimming pool with a few slides, mini golf with 10+ holes, outdoor wall climbing, and Ninja Adventure. For the older ones, there are also a library in front of the indoor playground, a swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna & steam, billiard, ping pong, and also a small gym. Also, they're all free.
