Maji Moto Maasai Cultural Camp

This idyllic place and lovely host quickly won our hearts. Just a great place to be. Words can't convey it, the only way to do it is to come and experience it. The place was very quaint and cozy. Delicious food. It was a heartwarming and nice visit

We had a great time in Maji Moto. It's an unforgettable memory and you can't compare it with other experiences. You have to be open for the massai who were able to preserve many of their traditions. But if you are willing to connect, you will create great memories.

Experiencing Mají Moto in Kenya was an absolute highlight of my travels. From the moment I stepped off the bus, I was greeted with a warm and lovely welcome. Upon arriving at the camp, I instantly felt at home. If possible, I recommend staying for at least two nights to truly immerse yourself in the experience and slow down your travel pace. Plus, you absolutely cannot miss out on the bush camp experience!

Maji Moto Maasai Cultural Camp is a wonderful place to experience Maasai culture. It is located in a beautiful part of Kenya, with great views of the savannah. The camp is simple but comfortable, and the staff are very friendly. Visitors can join activities like learning Maasai crafts, listening to stories, and going on nature walks with Maasai warriors. It’s a special and memorable experience, perfect for anyone who loves culture and nature.

Very nice campsite, shady, under acacia trees and euphorpia candelabre. Clean ablution block with hot water from the maji moto source. Young and friendly staff with which we spend the evening talking about Masai life around the bone fire.

Our stay at the Masai cultural camp was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Both our 11 year old son and 14 year old daughter absolutely loved the experience! Now they keep asking us to visit different tribes around the world. ;) They remember everyone's names and talk about everyone in the camp as if they were their friends because they felt so welcomed by everyone. The hut was super cute and comfortable, the food was amazing and every night they set up dinner at a different surprise location on their amazing grounds. This felt like a genuine experience where you could learn about their culture and traditions and not a tourist trap. Chief Salaton is an amazing leader for the community and Susan( his wife) is lovely! There's another copy cat camp that's been getting a lot of attention lately on social media, but they are not run by the masai and I'm not sure if they give back to the local community. Maji Moto is the way to go and we're so happy we went with them!
