Checkin was quick and straight forward. Staff is friendly and helpful. We even got some toilet paper which was stored away in a cupboard 😉😁. Complementary water provided, no toiletries. Our budget room had a good working fan, tv, hot water (bucket style). Room and bed were clean as far it can be cleaned with old appliances. Bed was comfortable and big. When arriving it felt a bit odd around the lobby area if you would call it like that - very sparsely furnished. Wifi only in the lobby. It's an old hotel but they don't hide that fact but you can't beat the location. Temple just around the corner and plenty of food options in walking distance. We felt comfortable and secure and it was perfect for a few days.

It was a great experience and the receptionist was good in handling customers and the room was clean and neat even the ac is in good conditions and gave us good and comfortable sleep overnight. Overall it was a great and pleasant companion.

There was a problem with the room when I arrived but when I complained the front desk staff moved me immediately. However the next room had a big problem with a very strong drain smell coming from the bathroom. Come on guys, sort this out. The staff try so hard to make the stay memorable but then there is a problem like this which is easy to fix. I have given four stars, not three, as the staff are so kind and helpful.

Wenn Sie nach Komfort, Sicherheit, Reinigung und Komfort suchen, wird dies Ihre Bedürfnisse erfüllen. Es ist ein ganz grundlegendes Hotel mit freundlichem, aber überarbeitetem Personal - so ist der Service ein wenig inkonsistent, vor allem während der besetzten Frühstückszeiten. Wir hatten mehrere spezielle Anfragen für jemanden mit Ernährungsbeschränkungen gestellt, und diese wurden nicht erfüllt. Andererseits war es ein angemessener und angenehmer Aufenthalt. Das Beste war, in jedem Stock eine schöne Landefläche zu haben, wo unsere Gruppe zusammenkommen und aushängen konnte. Der Wasserfilter in jedem Stock war auch ein schöner Kontakt.

Ein wirklich angenehmes Hotel und ein für diese Preisklasse auch guter Service (zb Abendservice im Zimmer). Das Restaurant ist ebenfalls gut, die Bedienung freundlich und ***chmal darf *** auch etwas zu kochen versuchen. Auch das breakfast bag bei früher Abfahrt hat gut funktioniert. Das Hotel liegt nicht ganz in der Nähe zum haupttempel von Madurai, aber mit dem Auto ist es machbar und der Verkehr ist nicht ganz so heftig-nur in der Nähe des Tempels wird es dann etwas schwierig.

Nestled in dense greenery, paths adorned with fragrant tree jasmine flowers and peacocks dancing , calling , posing all over , is a colonial design hotel with luxury written all over. Large rooms, super staff and great food. Special shout out to Chef Sahoo , Subhash , Saina and Kim at the restaurant. Pandian and Shilpa at the reception. This is a must visit Taj property

We had booked 2 rooms for a family trip in August 2022. Here is the review bifurcated into Pros & Con: Pros: 1. Centrally located. Commuting to and from the hotel is easy. Madurai Railway station, Meenakshi Amman Temple near by. Just take an auto which you can find easily outside the hotel without waiting much. 2. Rooms are good 3. Bathrooms are clean, flush and the hand spray working condition is too good. (Giving here a plus point as most hotels lack this basic feature) 4. Staff is good and helpful 5. Worth the money you are paying for. 6. AC was working good Con: 1. Wifi speed was slow, it needs improvement

The resort was well maintained, the room was clean and neat, the pool was very clean and pretty! the staff is courteous. The only problem was with the restaurant. The restaurant was closed by 7pm itself.

Frühstück und Abendessen waren sehr reichhaltig, nur der Kaffee war etwas dünn. Das Personal war freundlich und bemüht, die Zimmer nicht mehr ganz neu, aber sauber und ordentlich. Das lag wohl vor allem an Lilly, unserem freundlichem und fleißigen Zimmermädchen, das den ganzen geschäftig war. Lilly spricht auch gut Englisch, was hilfreich war.
