3-Sterne-Hotels in Mâcon

Reasonably priced hotel but not a great stay. We thought we'd pre-booked a parking space at the hotel but that appeared to not be the case so had to park in an open public car park in the town. Room 101 was convenient to main staircase and lift to ground floor. The mattress was super firm. However, the sliding door to the en suite was a total disaster, as it made an awful noise whenever we closed or opened it. Also when 'closed', it left open spaces either side so no privacy whatsoever. The double bed on the l/h/side was against the window/wall so I had to climb over the bed to get in and out of it. The 'see-thru' plastic type chair was very noisy when it was moved. However, the shaving mirror in the en suite was excellent and superb in every way and there was lots of space to spread toiletries out. The hotel is a beautiful old building but sadly the awful, far to modern updates, are a total disaster. Breakfast was nothing short of chaotic. It was self-service but we were unable to find cutlery or plates, which we finally discovered hidden in drawers and selves below the food. No hot milk was available to have with our coffee.

Voor een doorreis is dit hotel vrij redelijk. Je moet niet te nauw kijken maar alles functioneert en je kan slapen. En ook niet onbelangrijk is dat het schoon is. Dat is voor een doorreis belangrijk. Het is niet een hotel om heel je vakantie door te brengen. Wat ik wel een grote min punt vond is dat licht in de gang heel snel uitging, zwaar vervelend. Het eten dat was het best van alles en dat maakt veel goed, ruim keuze in alles en daar kunnen toch menige andere hotels wel een voorbeeld aan nemen. Centrum op loopafstand en station.

Auf unserer Durchreise nach Südfrankreich lag Macon günstig und wir buchten spontan auf Empfehlung das Hotel. Das Hotel liegt sehr schön in mitten von Macon, so dass man sich noch ein wenig in der Stadt umsehen kann. Das Hotel hat separat abgeschlossen entsprechende Parkplätze in einem Parkhaus schräg gegenüber. Der Service ist sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Das Hotel ist sehr sauber, die Zimmer ausreichend und nett eingerichtet. Klimatisierung ist ebenfalls vorhanden. Der hoteleigene Pool und das sehr leckere Frühstück zu guten preislichen Konditionen runden das Gesamtpaket positiv ab. Wir können das Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen und es ist auf unserer Favoritenliste für die Durchreise gelandet.

Ideal for a 1-night stay on our way home from Southern France. You’ll have to drive about 10 min after taking the exit. Parking space is scarce, especially on Saturdays, but there’s a parking lot at about 5 min walking distance. Location is super nice near the river. Rooms are really small but the bathroom’s nicely refurbished since the first time we came there around 8 years ago. I particularly liked the shower. We had difficulty getting checked-in (the hotel uses DIY check-in after 9 or 10 pm) when we arrived at 11 pm. There’s a phone number you can call, but it’s quite hidden in the corner. They should communicate that more clearly. Also, when booking online after 10 pm via a broker (e.g. Agoda) you will always have to call that number, in order to be able to get access to your room via the DIY check-in. I’d recommend they communicate that more clearly either at the entrance or upon making the reservation online. We spent at least 10 min trying to check-in ourselves but in vain. Not easy when you’re extremely tired from a long drive. We had a minor hygiene issue when we arrived in our room, but I told them the morning after (and showed pics) and they made up for it in the way it should be, so next time we’d be near Mâcon, we would probably stay there again since the beds are quite good, and that’s what counts the most.

The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly and went out of their way to make our stay an enjoyable one. Thank-you! They booked restaurants and organised parking at the last minute, which made life much easier than expected. The room was also a pleasant surprise and easily accommodated a family of four. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

Sehr schönes Hotel, direkt on der Innenstadt. Schöne, moderne Zimmer. Sehr gut ausgestattet. Sogar Deutsche TV Sender. Parkplätze im Innenhof und in einer kleinen Tiefgarage. Dort kann man sogar mit tieferen Sportwagen reinfahren. Unbedingt vorher reservieren. Schöne, spezielle Roof Top Bar. Essen ist jedoch aus der Mikrowelle. Personal eher unfreundlich. Unbedingt schauen, ob auch den Wein bekommt, den man bestellt hat. Uns wurde ohne Mitteilung ein anderer gebracht. Blöd für den Kellner, dass wir es gemerkt haben. Also in die Bar vor allem wegen der Aussicht gehen.
