Extremely cosy bedroom and comfortable bed and pillows. Everything spotlessly clean. Freshly cooked breakfast and good choice of cereals, plus fresh raspberries and blueberries each morning. Blaine and Jasmine were the perfect hosts. A wonderful home-from-home place to re-charge the batteries.

Superb Welcome, Friendly Young couple that manage Mulgrave County Cottage. Superb sized beautifully decorated bedroom.. clean , spacious and warm.. Breakfast included was fresh and tasty Thank you to you both! Beautiful grounds and lovely walks towards Sandsend Coast

Wonderful! Our stay started with a lovely welcome from our host. Made my wife and I, and our two small dogs, feel very much at home. An incredible house and lovely garden with a stream at the bottom. The dogs loved it. In a small valley and beautiful. Our room was large and well furnished. The bed was so comfy too. Breakfast was delicious and there is a set time for diners with dogs which is a good idea. We could have used the big lounge but didn’t. Looked great too. Lovely 5 minute walk on a little path taking us to the seafront. Sandsend is very picturesque. Friendly pub for food too. Dogs loved the beach as did we. Impressive views of Whitby too. This place astounded us. Didn’t expect how incredible the stay would be.

Very good B&B in an excellent location, set in lovely gardens. Well appointed, large rooms and friendly people. Good breakfast. Close to Whitby (well worth walking there along the coast) but in very quiet spot, close to the beach in Sandsend.

Celebrated my milestone birthday with family. Blaine and Jasmine were the perfect hosts. They made our weekend memorable. Thank you for the little extras, secluded position, yet easy walking to the beach. All bedrooms are well appointed with comfortable beds and ensuite, tea and coffee, making facility in all the rooms and the breakfast was just perfect, nothing was too much trouble. We shall definitely be coming back. It’s a real Gem.

We have just returned from our second stay at Mulgrave and once again we were so impressed and would not change a thing! The room was absolutely spotless (and with an inquisitive 1 year old staying with us you nest believe she ended up in every nook and cranny!), the bed very comfy and the tea and coffee facilities were fantastic. Breakfast was once again delicious and the perfect size too. The choice of fruit and yogurt is a really nice extra touch too. The grounds are beautiful, the location perfect to both walk in to Sandsend and to drive to neighbouring towns. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts. We will absolutely be returning for a third time l!

Mulgrave Cottage does not disappoint! Nestled away in a gorgeous & serene valley, this is the perfect place during all seasons. The hosts are attentive, professional and were fabulous with our 4 year old! The house and grounds are beautiful….so much so, we have booked to return twice this year. The Oak Room is perfect for families - spacious, clean and has everything you need. We highly recommend staying here and are looking forward to returning in the summer.

A wonderful setting at the beginging of the Mulgrave forest. Breakfast was first class with plenty of choices. We went for the full English breakfast and it really set us up for the day. The room was fully equiped and the bed big enough for a good night's sleep. The staff went above and beyond to make the stay absolutely perfect.
