Arundel

This hotel is in desperate need of a refurbishment, it is very tired and worn out. There is no air conditioning at the hotel, so the rooms are unbearably hot during the summer months! A pedestal fan is provided but when the room is 25 degrees it’s only moving around warm air!! You cannot leave the window open as the hotel is situated near a very busy road. The rooms don’t have any USB charging points, nor any sockets either side of the bed. The Wi-Fi was sporadic and only worked when it felt like. I even upgraded to Premium WiFi, which didn’t help much… The outlook from the window was dire, my room was looking at the back of another building, about 2 meters away! The TV was very quiet and cables hanging loose! NOISE! The hotel was very noisy, I was awaken from 5am with constant banging of doors. If you want a good sleep or a lay-in this hotel isn’t for you. There isn’t a soft-closing device that works here! Overall, I wouldn’t bother staying here! Travel abit further and stay somewhere else…

There was an awful smell of damp and mould in the room. Premier Inn seem to know this is a problem as the window was wide open when I arrived - on a cold and wet November evening? I had to have the window open all night, and the hotel is next to a very busy road, so I hear traffic all night

Let's start by saying the Reception staff were friendly & helpful; the room furniture was clean and the bed was as comfy as usual. There the positives end. The building, common areas and walls & floor of our room were all shabby & dirty. I can imagine the cleaning staff are trying their best in a dilapidated, old building, but it's not working. The Beefeater on site was similar, with sticky tables, torn chairs and a very poor selection & amount of hardly hot breakfast. Considering Arundel was full of visitors, even on this grey November weekend, we had hoped the hotel would be one of the better Premier Inns. We were disappointed and would not stay here again.
