Susana Balbo Winemaker´s House

This review is a bit difficult to write as words to not quite adequately describe how wonderful our experience was at Susana Balbo Winemaker's House & Spa Suites. We decided to add on to my wife's sales incentive trip in Buenos Aires with three nights in Mendoza ( highly recommend JetSmart if you are coming to and from EZE). This was somewhat of a last minute decision. We booked this location because of our familiarity with Susana Balbo and her amazing work with Argentinian Wine. Before we arrived, we reached out to friends who have visited the area and received a TON of recommendations. A bit overwhelmed, I reached out to Pedro, our 'concierge' at the property and he perfectly crafted an amazing itinerary for us for our stay. We further complicated things by adding another couple to the trip, and he integrated them into the itinerary flawlessly. I cannot say enough about how much this added to our experience. When we arrived, a driver was waiting for us at the airport and quickly delivered us to the property. Past the gate and guard, we were floored by the beauty of the property (once Susana's daughter Ana's home). We were greeted in the salon by our host who got us quickly delivered to our rooms. The rooms are stunning and completely private, with dedicated private outdoor space. The decor is what I would call "Mendoza minimalist", and quite calming. Since spa treatments are done in the room, there is plenty of space. The room is full of modern technology, automated floor to ceiling curtains, steam shower, massive floating tub, sitting area and large bed with luxury linens. The space was always a place your returned to at night with a smile on your face. Housekeeping was effient and discreet, with a lovely turn down service with additional treats from the kitchen each night. The theme here is you seem to get MORE than what you were expecting. After our complimentary in room massages, we made our way to the pool for a bit with our friends, and enjoyed a glass of wine. Later, we met Lucas, a WSET Level 3 sommelier for the property, who took us through an amazing portfolio tasing of the Susana Balbo Signature wines. As a wine bar owner in the US, I actually learned new tasting techniques from Lucas, which was awesome and unexpected. Dinner that night was in the restuarant, where we opeted for the multi course menu with wine pairings. Each course was beautifully crafted and the wines paired perfectly. We felt amost as if we had a private chef and sommelier, as the executive chef Flavia Amad and Lucas served us each course. Incredibly special evening. Breakfast service each morning felt like it's own unique experience, with an amazing offering of complimentary dishes rooted in the local cuisine and spirit of Argentina. Coordinated drivers to and from the wineries we visited were flawless. We had the most unforgettable honeymoon at Susana Balbo Winemaker's House & Spa Suites in Mendoza. This is an incredible choice for a romantic getaway. From the moment we arrived, we experienced personalized touches that made us feel truly special throughout our stay. I originally found this hotel on tik tok. Once I saw a video of the made to order baths in the stone soaking tub (which all 7 rooms have), I was sold. The in-room spa treatments are a great touch and incredibly affordable. The rooms are individual bungalows. They are immaculate rooms with thoughtful details, the housekeeping team exceeded all expectations with daily service including turn down each night where they left us different cookies to try. The food at the in house restaurant was divine, with beautifully crafted dishes (we did both the tasting menu and a la carte) and perfect wine pairings, all served by a warm and attentive staff. Breakfast is included with a wide selection of offerings you can enjoy in the restaurant or in your room. The hotel arranged private tours to local wineries, offering unforgettable wine tastings and stunning vineyard views. Including a winery that has a months long waitlist and they got is in 3 days before. The pool, surrounded by lush greenery, was the perfect place to relax after a day of exploration. In short, this hotel offered everything we wanted for a romantic, luxurious honeymoon. Highly recommend! We are counting down the days until we can go back.

This is an amazing Hotel, every detail seems to be catered for, they pay so much attention to detail. The rooms are huge, very well equipped and everything works. The staff are impeccable, the service we received from Barbara & Pedro in particular was nothing sort of fantastic nothing is too much trouble. I simply cannot fault this Hotel and I have stayed in dozens of 5* Hotels around the world this ranks very highly indeed.

This boutique hotel is a beautiful oasis with spectacular grounds and amazing high tech rooms. The rooms are very comfortable, quiet and spacious. The food was excellent as well. The staff is very helpful especially Juan! We really enjoyed our stay and hated to leave!!

We stayed for 4 nights and loved every minute. Rooms- really contemporary and huge. We have stayed in many 5 star hotels and this was one of the nicest rooms Staff- really helpful and they work really hard to help plan your itinerary for you. Ivana and Barbara were very attentive and nothing was ever too much trouble Hotel- was gorgeous, the outdoor pool was fabulous, everywhere was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious and staff provided great service. We got a tour of the winery included and transfers which were all nice touches too. I would 100% recommend .
