Houa and nick were the best bartenders ever! I had a ton of fun and they taught me so many new phrases in Laotian for a long time. Their heart is so kind. I wish them a blessed future ❤️ I would 100% recommend this to everyone. Wonderful experience!! Lots of fun and love the staff here!

It’s a great hostel, but be warned! It’s right next to a chicken farm with 3 roosters kept in cages for fighting. They scream every 10 seconds from 2am to 12pm every day. You will not be able to sleep without assistance and the screams are ear piercing so no distance seems to negate how loud they are.

Great location, friendly staff and you know exactly what you’re getting. It’s a quieter area of Laos but there’s always something on at the bar and lots of opportunity to socialise and meet people! The only improvement I would suggest is to provide towels

We literally had THE worst experience here. The stay itself was fine. Facilitates also OK. However DO NOT rent bikes from the reception. We had the most awful experience ever with the staff from the hostel. We were assured that our passport deposits would be kept behind the desk in a safe (which they showed us) and they wouldn’t leave the premises. Apprehensive but reassured we gave them over. After the men from the bike company itself accused us of “scratching” the bike (which he later admitted was already there). The hostel staff handed over our passports to these random men who sped off on a bike to a random location. 6 passports!! We couldn’t believe it. When we told the reception guy to get our passports back he said “I’m not the middle man” which in fact he was as we rented through the hostel!! The reception guy was heard laughing down the phone to the men who had our passports and who were demanding £70 per passport?! we eventually had to SETTLE on a price to get our passports back which is ridiculous. Defo would AVOID if you can.

All around good place to stay, Clean and fresh and activities every night. For example beer pong or they take you to the club if you want to party. But also a nice hostel if you don’t want to party. Special thanks to Mr. Teng!

The place is amazing and people are very nice at mad monkey, like Nou, Maki, Iesha, and Simon, and a lot, i did went for Kuansi waterfall, i bought the hostel package, including the tour guide who was Nou along side Maki, the trip is very recommend and i I joined every minute 😁. Ask for Nou Guide tour 😄.
