Aguamar Apartamentos, Los Cristianos Downtown

This was me and my husband's first trip abroad in almost 20 years! From the minute we arrived, (4am as flight was delayed), the staff were friendly and helpful whenever we asked anything. The apartments are fairly basic but perfect for us as we tried to be out enjoying the island most of the time anyway. Still, they are equipped with everything you need. Watching the amazing staff every morning getting the pool area ready for guests, was so impressive. They work like a well oiled machine and were also always friendly. The reception area is lovely and really quirky and although we didn't eat at the restaurant I overheard many compliments about it. The cleaners were fabulous. They came everyday and went above and beyond. They even folded our carrier bags! Again the pool area is basic compared to some of the other hotels but there are plenty of loungers with rentable cushions and parasols. The pool and surrounding area was always spotless. There's a lovely little pool bar with seating and a wide selection of drinks and light bites. Overall, if you are not looking for an all singing, all dancing hotel with all the frills, then this place is perfect. We had a really enjoyable week and have already decided to book next year and bring some family with us.

We have stayed here a number of times and are returning again.The hotel is located not for from the bus station ,supermarkets , bars and restaurants. No entertainment at the hotel itself but plenty of bars in walking distance .The rooms are clean and staff are friendly. Reception are very good at helping with requests, Clory , helped us change a room we like sun in the afternoon. The restaurant is buffet style and always salads if you prefer instead of hot meals . Solarium on 5th floor . Plenty of sun loungers by the pool. And poolside bar and food service. Not far from the beach about 10 min walk downhill. The Victory pub is just along the side and down a few steps .
