This is a very nice, newly built hotel, but it still seems to be working through some growing pains. While the staff is friendly and accommodating, there are several areas that could use attention. One concern is the laundry room, which only has two 30-minute washers and two 45-minute dryers. Unfortunately, one of the dryers has been out of service for over a month, which is quite inconvenient, especially considering that there are several displaced guests staying here due to local fires. Ideally, there should be three dryers for every washer, and the extended downtime for this appliance is simply not acceptable. Another area that needs improvement is the breakfast setup. The layout of the breakfast area seems poorly designed. The plasticware station (spoons, knives, forks) is located below the counter near the toaster and waffle stations, causing congestion as guests wait for their food. Additionally, there is no bagel slicer, so cutting a bagel with a plastic knife is a challenge. Another downside is the single toaster; given the demand, a second toaster or a conveyor toaster would be much more efficient and would speed up the breakfast process. The hotel is also located next to a construction site, which can be confusing when trying to navigate to the nearby traffic light. A few more directional signs would help guests find their way, as you need to use the traffic light to make a left turn out of the parking lot. Lastly, it’s important to be cautious when leaving your room, as not all of the doors seem to close tightly enough to lock securely. Overall, while this hotel has great potential, a few operational issues and design flaws are preventing it from reaching its full potential. I’m hopeful these growing pains will be addressed soon.
