Aiden by Best Western @ Lorient Centre

"Wir sind aufgrund eines Fußballspiels des örtlichen Vereins im Aiden Hotel abgestiegen. Der Empfang war freundlich - es gibt gibt allerdings keinen Rezeptionsschalter sondern einen Stehtisch und einen Esstisch, an dem die Mitarbeiter arbeiten - ungewöhnlich, aber zweckmäßig. Sowohl der Mitarbeiter beim Check-In als auch der Mitarbeiter beim Check-Out war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, ebenso wie die Reinigungsdamen. Das Auto konnten wir in der öffentlichen Tiefgarage neben dem Hotel (ca. 1 min Fußweg) abstellen - das kostete uns etwa 14 € für die ganze Nacht. Um das Hotel tummeln sich abends komische Gestalten - das Hotel liegt direkt neben einem Bahnhof. Das Frühstück kostete 18 € und ist m. E. zu teuer. Es gab zwar Rührei, Bacon und Würstchen, jedoch war zu wenig Baguette da, die Mineralwasserflaschen waren leer und eine laktosefreie Milch war ebenfalls nicht vorhanden - wir wurden auf die Mandelmilch hingewiesen, die verfügbar war. Das wichtigste Argument, welches für dieses Hotel spricht, ist das Zimmer. Wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer im 3. Obergeschoss, welches durch einen Aufzug zu erreichen war. Das Zimmer war vollumfassend digitalisiert und die Beleuchtung, die Klimaanlage u. v. m. konnten durch das Tablett bedient werden. Die Betten waren sehr gemütlich, es gab zwei Kopfkissen pro Person und das Zimmer war sehr sauber. Passende Einrichtungsgegenstände und Accessoires rundeten das Gesamtpaket ab. Das Badezimmer war sehr schön und modern eingerichtet. Sollten wir wieder ein Fußballspiel in Lorient besuchen, werden wir auf jeden Fall wieder in diesem Hotel übernachten."

"Convenient central location but quiet. Good choice of restaurants close by. Easy parking in nearby square with some parking behind the hotel. The staff are helpful and friendly. Good breakfast buffet from 6am. I will be very happy to stay here again when next in Lorient."

"Nice hotel, room was very clean and tidy. Staff were super friendly. We didn't have breakfast as went out, but staff still made me a coffee while I waited for friends. Only downside, if you park in their car park, there's only a couple of space and you need someone in reception to open it, even leaving, so no getting out early (I needed to charge the car at 5.30, had to wait until 7.30). There are a lot of spaces outside the hotel though (Street parking)."

"A great no frills hotel and great value. One of the cleanest hotels I've been in. Jean Louis, the owner could not do enough to help our group from Ireland. He obviously takes great pride in his hotel even though the staff were all on holiday. The self - service continental breakfast had all one could ask for. It is in the center of town too. Overall a most satisfactory experience at no. 28. An ideal hotel if visiting Carnac stones."

"We stayed three nights. The hotel is located in the central part of Lorient yet in a quiet street. It is within walking distance of public transport, shops and restaurants, and also the hotel has its own secured parking available at EUR 10/day. Also fresh and clean drinking water was available at the lobby. The hotel is not large and the front desk is not open all day. We received good information by mail with a code to get into the hotel and it worked out fine. The hotel has no a/c in the rooms and no elevator, which may be a problem if you have much baggage. Our room was spacious and clean and with a good bed and coffee machine. The TV set was good, but only French channels were available, and we missed a news channel in English. The friendly staff at the front desk also took care of breakfast, which was ok without being great. The coffee was very good, but even though we are not late risers some basic items were not available and apparently not being restocked. One morning we had to share the remaining croissant, which I do not find ok. Also we noted that housekeeping was rather uneven."
