We stayed at Longroiva Rural Hotel as we wanted to be close to Côa Parque to see the Paleolithic engravings. The hotel surpassed our expectations. We stayed in a deluxe suite which was exceptionally comfortable. The restaurant was really good - the food was delicious and the service was excellent. The heated pool with spa jets was great. The hotel arranged a taxi service to pick us up at Pocinho station and take us to the archeological park.

We arrived without a booking as last minute decision to stay here. The receptionist was very welcoming. Rooms a bit odd as décor is chipboard finish and concrete floor in the bathroom. A bit dark in the room. Interesting food on the dinner menu which was excellent. Good choice at breakfast.

It is a nice looking design hotel and very well located for those visiting the ‘gravuras’ in Foz Coa, but it was considerably bellow my expectation for a 4 star rated hotel: - The reception staff is not very helpful or nice - every single request or question seems to be a nuisance. - It very much feels like the ‘eco-hotel’ label is actually an excuse to lower the standard - for example, providing only one bottle of water for 2 days and 3 people;, or not providing swimming pool towels is not acceptable at this level and, because people will then sit directly on the sun loungers, it’s quite unhygienic (I would be ok with having to pay a fee if we misplaced or damaged a towel). - The restaurant staff doesn’t seem to be trained. Some are very nice and helpful, but still they lack training. - The restaurant food is average. - Laundry prices are abnormally high. - We stayed in a bungalow in the back of the main building and were not impressed - the back entrance through the Termas building is a bit run down (a lot of wild grass growing everywhere), the wood in the bungalows was peeling off (they had someone trying to fix it) and the rooms have a lot of IKEA items (unimportant but still unimpressive…). - The pool water was soup hot - bacteria, algae and other organisms thrive under warm water conditions… not the best feeling… Hardly a 4 star hotel… apart from the price…

La prima bella sorpresa è la posizione: in una lunga e disabitata valle, un paesino di poche case e questa grande struttura avvolta nel silenzio. L'odore nell'aria ti fa pensare ad acque termali, e infatti scopriamo che si tratta di una spa, di classe. Personale gentilissimo, ambienti moderni e puliti, camera grande ed accogliente, corridoio chilometrico per raggiungerla e per raggiungere la sala della prima colazione. Simpatiche le fotografie d'epoca davanti alle porte delle camere, tutte diverse. Prima colazione con prodotti vari e di qualità. Ottima esperienza.

Infelizmente íamos á espera de outra coisa. Os bungalows não transmitem conforto nem são de todo parecidos com as imagens que aparecem dos quartos no site ou nos outros meios de comunicação. Sem decoração, As luzes são ora brancas ora amarelas, o quarto principal não tem uma televisão e quando se toma duche, por mais cuidado que haja, a água sai da cabine de duche deixando tudo molhado. O pequeno almoço não é reposto com frequência. Num dos dias fomos depois das 10h não havia quase nada para comer. A piscina tem alguns equipamentos de hidromassagem a funcionar num dia e no outro não. Mas para nós, o mais grave foi termos pedido uma sangria no jantar e um pero vinha com os autocolantes colados. O jarro vinha com a boca partida em 3 pontos. Mandámos para trás e trouxeram a nova bebida noutro jarro com uma tampa de plástico (daqueles tipo jarro caseiro) a conter menos quantidade que o anterior. Ofereceram para encher mais quando a sangria acabasse de forma a servirem a quantidade prevista e quando foram encher novamente, apenas puseram vinho Tinho. Foi muito desagradável e a não repetir.
