The St. Regis Longboat Key Resort

Beautiful hotel but service is lacking for this caliber of resort. All restaurants were an exorbitant wait, either to get in when reservations weren’t required or for your food once you were seated. At Breakfast our orders were taken promptly but it took quite a bit of time to receive our meals. Do the buffet rather than an la carte if eating breakfast. My son’s waffles came out 20 mins before the rest of our orders. Then when ours came a duplicate meal came for him. The staff seemed frazzled by the number of people staying the week we went. Hard to get waitress service at the lobby bar when seated and harder to get to the bar. To further display their overwhelm we had an odd incident at the pool on our third day. Our family of 5 got to the pool early in the morning and asked for four chairs. We received them around 9am. We left for 45-60 mins to go eat breakfast. At no time, until around 1:45pm was one of us not at our grouping of chairs after breakfast. Mind you we also ordered food and drinks. My husband went back to the room and me and my children walked to the beach. Came back to find two of our chairs coverings removed. I was told it was because we didn’t leave any personal items on them and they’d check to see if they gave them to someone on the wait list. The chairs were given to two other people. Around 20 minutes later I realized my children’s shirts were missing - they had been left on the chairs. I went to the pool desk and asked if they had them and they promptly grabbed them. I asked why the chairs were taken if we had left personal items there - as this being the reason I was initially given as to why we lost the chairs. They said because we left the chairs for over an hour. This is completely untrue and if that were the case the chairs next to us were left for almost two hours, so why weren’t theirs taken? They were not polite about the situation and it felt extremely sneaky. They waited for us to leave to take the chairs because they were at “max capacity”. Their words, not mine. So, it somehow became mine and my families problem because they couldn’t accommodate all their guests. Again, the level of service is just not there for this caliber of hotel.

The property is stunning - absolutely gorgeous! You won't find a more luxurious resort anywhere on Florida's Gulf Coast, it is super impressive. Having said that... the service was hugely disappointing - slow, forgetful and not especially attentive - not at all what one should expect at such a location. And while I expected premium prices, I was still surprised. Just one example, $29 for a glass of wine. Won't go back.

Brittany was the most amazing bartender ever! She was so friendly and thoughtful enough to make our date night with a 3d printed image of our daughter in our drink ! It was an amazing experience ! Thank you so much for an amazing date night! We also went to Italian restaurant and the food was excellent

A gem for sure, this place checks all of the boxes. First off thank you for the upgrade and recognition of my lifetime status elite it's much appreciated to get something back after a decade. Everything about this hotel was awesome, facilities, food, bars, rooms, service. location, Beaches were unreal. book it an don't look back

St Regis Resort in Longboat Key provided the perfect escape from the Midwest cold winter. We have been to many of the top Marriott properties both for pleasure and business, and I would rate this the finest Marriott property in the US. I hate to admit it was even nicer than the Ritz Carlton in Kapalua which I didn’t think was possible. The interior design was grand through including our spacious suite. The massive outdoor area with multiple pools, whirlpool, and lazy river provided comfort and privacy. The food and service were top notch including the Riva for breakfast and great Italian dinner, and the Monkey Bar on the beach was a great place to hang out. What separated this hotel from other Marriott experiences was the level of personal service. Special shout out to Darren, a Food and Beverage Manager who made us feel so welcome from our first breakfast to our last lunch on the Beach. Our Server for Breakfast, Andrea, also provided such great personal touch. The bar area with the player piano, and a live musician at night was a great place to cap off the evening. The Spa experience exceeded our expectations and was a great way to spend half a day. The lagoon with many species of fish was a cool and unique touch. What a great way to spend your Marriott points for a luxurious experience.

Over the years we have stayed at many fine hotels but this one tops them all. It is new, clean, beautifully furnished and the staff was excellent. Riva was superb and the manager there Polena was so kind and attentive. We did not have to tell our servers to bring our tea they recalled us from our previous visits. We were there to celebrate our 49th anniversary and several of the hotel staff said Happy Anniversary. We would love to return one day. This hotel has it all: Good food, on the beach, excellent pools, hot tubs and resort programs.
