Absolutely disgusting and I highly recommend you avoid! On arrival we entered the door code as instructed on the email that had been sent the previous day and easily gained access. The front hallway is small but nothing unusual for a budget hotel in central london. However our room was on the 4th floor, there is no lift. We started up the stairs and the stairs are leaning inward making it feel as if the hotel is subsiding. The carpet was grotty and there was dust all up the banisters. However we weren't too bothered, as it was a cheap place to stay, once on the 2nd floor we had to ascend the next 2 flights of stairs in the dark as no lights were working and the staircase was narrow, it made it feel grubby. Opened the room, room 20 and the first thing we were greeted with was a cockroach running across the bed. Absolutely disgusting. This sealed it for us and we decided we couldn't stay at this hotel as it was a safety hazard. On further inspection of the room the bed was stained yellow, and there was rubbish all over the floor. They called me at this point to ask how we found it all. When I told them and said we couldn't stay as it was a health risk, they were not very helpful. Completely refused a refund and said we could change rooms. However knowing the hotel was infested with roaches had totally put us off and given my boyfriend who comes from Norway a very bad first impression of London. Thankfully we managed to get a room elsewhere in a hotel that was clean and much more suitable. I will never stay at this hotel again.

No stars for this hotel. The check in is self automated and was at 15:00, my partner and I arrived at the hotel at roughly 16:00 to find the hotel room had not been changed from the previous guest. No clean towels, messy bed with dirty sheets, rubbish still left in bins and bathroom was a state and a cracked bedroom mirror. The worst was when we found a pillow covered in blood. I have pictures as evidence. We proceeded to call the phone number provided for us, the gentleman on the end of the phone said the room will sorted for us whilst we we were out. He also said that there had been issues with this room, unsure as to why we were not told this beforehand? We came back to the room several hours later to find that the room was not cleaned. Utterly disgusted. Lack of basic standards and there was definitely a lack of basic hygiene. Nothing like the photos displayed.
