Alles war toll

Das im Stadtzentrum gelegene, ruhige und saubere Hotel hat unseren Familienurlaub sehr angenehm gestaltet. Dank ihm hatten wir eine wundervolle Zeit.

Das Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen, in der Nähe des British Museum und anderer Sehenswürdigkeiten. Es ist hervorragend an das U-Bahn- und Busnetz angebunden, sodass man bequem andere Teile der Stadt erreichen kann. Wir hatten ein Zimmer für drei Erwachsene, das sehr geräumig war und über sehr große und bequeme Betten verfügte. Ich habe kaum etwas auszusetzen. Wir hatten ein ruhiges Zimmer angefragt, was aber leider nicht der Fall war – ganz im Gegenteil. Tagsüber und einen Großteil der Nacht war es laut und geräuschvoll von irgendwelchen Maschinen, und morgens konnten wir das Hotelpersonal beim Putzen hören.

Das von mir gebuchte Superior-Einzelzimmer war überraschend geräumig und mit einem Doppelbett, einem Schreibtisch und einer TV-Ecke ausgestattet. Allerdings war die Auswahl beim Frühstück sehr begrenzt, und warme Gerichte wie Speck, Kartoffelpuffer und Spiegeleier kosteten extra! Das ist unverständlich, da ich bei der Buchung „Frühstück inklusive“ ausgewählt hatte; warum muss ich für warme Speisen extra bezahlen? Während des Buchungsvorgangs wurden keine anderen Frühstücksoptionen angeboten. Ich hoffe auf eine Erklärung von Ctrip.

Das Fehlen eines Kühlschranks war etwas unpraktisch, aber die Lage ist fantastisch, da sie sich in unmittelbarer Nähe des British Museum befindet!

BED BUGS!!!! I had the unfortunate experience to spend the night with unwelcome guests: bed bugs who spent the night biting me. Most horrible experience I’ve ever had. The hotel won’t issue a partial refund. They moved me to a different room the next night but at that point I was so exhausted (3rd floor and the lift was out of order) that I barely slept and couldn’t wait to get out of the hotel. Unfortunately I had another stay booked before realising they had a bed bug infestation and I wanted to cancel due to the poor experience but they have refused. The hotel, the supplier and Trip keep blaming each other. Not mentioning the fear of bringing back bed bugs to my own home! Appalling experience and service. The hotel could not even offer something like a deee breakfast to atone for their poor hygiene! Not sure I would have eaten there though but at least I would have acknowledged the good will gesture.

Great hotel with super friendly & very professional staff, room was nice decorated, lots of tea and coffee to make, stunning bathroom which was super clean, in a very quiet neighbourhood with parks at each end of the street, lots of choice for the continental breakfast, toast, fruit, juice coffee & tea, yogurt etc, had a quiet relaxing stay, which was great for me as I was down to research my third book. Can’t recommend enough, thanks again

Amazing location, hotel.was clean and tidy, room was clean however the window in bathroom didnt close properly, and curtains where thread bare. Staff was pleasent and kind

The hotel very disappointingly would not offer a refund or credit note for a future stay when my brother was on life support in hospital. We contacted in plenty of notice and would have been grateful for any compensation from credit note, partial refund or ful refund. The booking agent - trip.com - said they would support the refund request however the hotel said no. Given the distressing circumstances there was no understanding or compassion given by the hotel.

We had a great time at the Grange Clarendon Hotel. It is located in a quiet area and not far from the British Museum. Although the building and room have aged a bit, it was equipped with all the necessary facilities and it added to the charm. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Computers were down, so I could not get a room Key that opened my room !! .. so the concierge had to do this. Was on the first floor in a very nice spacious room; however, the noise from above was terrible due to the floor boards making sleep difficult

The room was very dusty, which made it feel unclean and uncomfortable. It was located in the basement, and one of the heaters wasn’t working properly. There was also no refrigerator provided. The soundproofing was poor, and staff began cleaning or making noise as early as 6 or 7 a.m., which was very loud and disruptive. I had specifically booked a courtyard-view room, but instead I was given a basement room with little to no view at all. This was very disappointing and not what I had paid for.

Good service room good breakfast excellent staff lovely very helpful. Would recommend

The check-in process was quite long. The hotel is dated but the room was exceptionally big, especially for London.
