The first room they gave me was very small, on the first floor with no view and some missing toiletries. Based maybe on my Marriott status they did move me to a nicer room the next day. BUT, they double charged for the first night, charging 5 nights (the correct number) on one credit card but also one night on the card I happened to use for the $1 hold at checkin. At checkin, they said they had two reservations in my name, but the second did not have my Marriott info and came from some third party site. I certainly never recieved any emails for the supposed second reservation (several for the one I made on Marriott). I asked the next day and the clerk at reception said that they weren't charging for some double reservation, They didn't inform me of any such charge when I checked out, so I only noticed when my credit card bills came. I emailed and called several times-the the reception said it was probably some error on their part, but only the billing department could cancel the charge, and they refused. Visa required me to cancel the card to refund the charge, but said that the hotel might still contest it later. I'm not sure how to prove I didn't make a reservation for which I never received any confirmation or information, so I guess we'll see.
