City View Hotel Roman Road

I give 1star just because I can't give a zero. This is the WORSE hotel I have ever stayed in, even as a cheap one. The bed sheet is dirty, I can barely sleep on it. There is dust and dirt everywhere. I asked for the new bed sheet and towel from the staff and they said he doesn't know where it is. I learned my lesson and would never book the cheapest hotel directly. Just don't book here

From the outside this doesn’t appear to be a great place but once you’re inside things get better. The upstairs area is where the fun is, especially on the monthly swinger nights. The open door policy is well managed and there’s very little trouble. The bathrooms are shared so there can sometimes be a bit of a wait, and the back smoking area is a bit untidy. The best place to smoke is the flat roof up the stairs. Talking of the stairs, they are quite steep and narrow. There isn’t a lift available. The staff are friendly and always willing to help or have a chat. They don’t serve breakfast but there is a Greggs over the road. It can be noisy with the sound of sirens, particularly if you stay at the front of the hotel. The rooms downstairs are budget rooms, and none of them contain a kettle or drink supplies. There is a fridge but I wouldn’t recommend using it.

Not far from Stratford Westfield centre and transport and amenities. The room itself was ok and adequate for the two nights as we hardly stayed in. Just be wary that you won’t expect all the hotel amenities and luxury’s . Breakfast was very mediocre. I’ll be honest and say it won’t be my first choice if I was stuck.

Really poor. I mean..i guessed it wouldnt be great at £79 but the level of filth is dangerous to health. The whole huilding smelled of fish. Theres a water tank in the "reception" that is 4" thick of green fungus and stagnant water build up. The shower was stuck on to the wall using filler. Stay here if you're planning to get really drunk, you have to be drunk to stay.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in ! Should have known by first sight. Our room was downstairs in the basement/cellar below ground level. Room was dirty and bedding although clean felt damp. After a long day all we wanted was to sleep, only to be woken by a loud get together by the staff and friends outside/ above our room on a raised decking area. Decided to leave early next day only to find night staff asleep on sofa in reception.

The worst place I visited every. City View provided me with smelly basement with a window facing a luggage storage. Room was dirty, walls filfy, bathroom disgusting with only cold wather. Absolutly do not recomand, stay away from this shady scam place.

TERRIBLE, got there and told us our booking was cancelled! WELL I DIDNT CANCEL IT so clearly they double booked us, told we could pay on the day. LIES!! Obviously someone had booked and payed for it and they took their booking and called ours because we were paying for it on the day, if your thinking about staying here don’t it’s a dump, and they don’t take bookings properly, just go to the travelodge down the road.
