The Mill at Glynhir

Just back from another great stay at The Mill. We really can’t speak highly enough of this B&B. It’s set in a quiet location and surrounded by beautiful countryside. All the rooms are immaculate, have everything you could possibly want for your stay (and more), they’re spotlessly clean and they are maintained to a very high standard. As others have said, the breakfast, whether you just want cereals or a full cooked, is spot on. The hosts, Mat and Helen, are brilliant, so friendly and accommodating, they really do go over and above to make your stay special. The Mill is a great base from which to explore the area, here are a few of our personal recommendations: Henrhyd Falls – Beautiful location and you can actually walk behind the falls. Dinefwr Castle, House and Gardens – Bit of a trek to the Castle but worth it for the views. Pembrey Country Park and Beach – Picnic areas and a long, long beach. Barafundle Bay Beach – Simply stunning (park at Stackpole Quay). Tenby – Nice little town with great beaches. Rhossili - Long beach set in a picturesque bay, at low tide you can walk out to the island just off the headland. Carreg Cennen Castle – Great views, a underground tunnel and drawings showing how the various parts of the castle would have looked. Use the contact details on their website and book directly. Literally just home and had to jump on and write a review! Helen and Mat are the nicest couple and perfect hosts, so welcoming. The Mill is absolutely fabulous in a super quiet location. I can see a lot of hard work and thought has been put into every detail in the rooms. From the best tea tray I’ve ever seen, down to the rechargeable torch. Every thing has been so carefully thought through. The room and en-suite was spotlessly clean, and smelt so fresh. I liked the fact that you have your own outside entrance to your room, and there is plenty of parking. Didn’t get to use the outside patio and furniture as we had typical Welsh weather!! There are the cutest Alpacas in the garden who are so friendly and will feed from your hand. An amazing breakfast was served in the annex on the ground floor. Again, the attention to detail was great. A good selection of continental, fruits, yoghurts, cereals, nuts, pastries and fresh fruit juices. The cooked breakfast was substantial and delicious. Never had so much smoked salmon! I was sad to leave, but very much look forward to visiting again soon. Thanks so much Helen & Mat for a perfect stay.

This place has wonderful reviews and they are well deserved. I stayed there with friends for a week and i cannot say enough great things about the whole experience. We had absolutely everything we could need, the place was so clean and comfortable. It is a beautiful area and a great location. The breakfast had so many options and was delicious. Matt and Helen were absolutely fantastic, they went above and beyond for us but made it seem like no big deal. They treated us like family. You can tell they love what they do and just want to make sure your trip is the best it can be. I would definitely stay there again.

Stayed for 1 night wish it had been more Lovely room Great Amenities Even down to a glass jar of goodies instead of the usual biscuits on the coffee tray Bed was very comfy so large never saw the Good Lady all night Shower room was clean tidy and had enough extras Hosts were very friendly can see why they won Four in a bed Breakfast was outstanding all fresh goods and the cooked breakfast was delicious There was plenty on my plate didn't need to eat again until teatime Overall 10/10 will be back in the near future Oh don't forget the alpacas

The B&B that feels like home and where they treat you as kings and queens. Super hosts , perfect rooms , luxurious breakfast , perfect location for all kind of holidays. It is hard to believe if you've never stayed here, so check it out yourself :-).

Great host and lovely hearing about the hostesses' acting career. Rooms and building fantastic. Excellent finish to everything. Food also excellent along with the location. Host has built a fantastic getaway and the cleanliness was perfect. Hostess shared her chocolate whenever we saw her. Lovely old lady (Helen) with some lovely tales about her career as an extra on shows like Midsomer Murders, Crossroads Motel, Randall and Hopkirk (Jeff's mum) and other greats. A genuinely lovely mother and son and a top class place to stay. And lots of shared chocolate.
