Tom Thumb Apartments

Do not book this apartment if you want any sleep. It is above a nightclub which has very loud music until 4am. I can pretty much sleep through anything, but it was impossible to sleep here. It has no tea, coffee or other basics. Would absolutely not recommend

We booked for 14 ladies for a 60th birthday, the communication prior to us arriving was very quick responses for all our questions, we collected the keys, paid the deposits from the bar which was just 4 doors away. The rooms were very clean, the beds are very comfortable and the location was excellent. We needed to check out a little sooner for 1 of the rooms which was no trouble at all, again a very fast response from the host, Ruth. We checked out at 11am as planned and the service & hospitality was exceptional, we then were able to leave our luggage in the bar in a locked room whilst we visited the town which was very appreciative. I would to recommend any group these clean, spacious apartments.

Great location room clean and comfy. 10 minute walk to cavern club, restaurants 5 minutes walk. Bar below goes to 4 am so take ear plugs if your in before then. Couldn't find fault in anything. Have to go to another bar few doors up for the keys. Paid £300 deposit which you get back after room is checked when you check out hassle free.

Avoid if you want sleep. Went for 2 nights with friends, no where in the advert did it say the bar below (owned by the same people) played music until it closed at 4. No sound proofing! Staff then turned music back on at 4.30-6am whilst cleaning up. We spoke to them the next day and asked them to turn it off after the pub closed at 4am so we could get a bit of sleep but they still put it on on the second night. Thanks. Ruined our wkend. Avoid at all costs even if your getting in from clubs at 4am as we did your not going to sleep when you get back. Shame as it’s a nice little apartment but what’s the point if you cannot sleep? Owners need to rethink this one. Owner denied the music was on until 5.30-6am when we told her. Try sleeping in there a night then you will learn and find out what your staff are doing whilst your asleep at home. No refund or apology offered.

Apartment was clean but we were kept awake by the loud music from the bar below us until 6am so our group had very little sleep for the two nights we were there. Owner was rude when we tried to inform her that the music was being played till 6am funnily enough she also owned the bar down stairs

At fist glance the apartment was okay for the 8 of us that went. Although there is only one bathroom we were able to make do thankfully. However after we got back from a night out we noticed that due to us being in apartment one we could hear the music from the bar downstairs. It was so loud that we could literally feel the vibrations and wasn’t able to get to sleep as the bar closed supposedly at 4. However this was not the case as it stopped for a while and started again even louder. Turns out it was the staff cleaning up. Which didn’t stop till half 6. We brought it up to the staff next day at the bar and they said they would sort it. However the next night same thing happened again even though this time we tried to make it so we was out until after 4. Brought it up to the owner at check out and she blamed it on the off licence and was rude about it. If you want any sleep avoid.

We stated here for a hen party and had 2 of the 8 bed qpparments. The staff were so accommodating allowing us to check I early and stored bags qt check out until our us departure time. The qppartments are nice, clean and in an ideal location for shopping and going out! We had the best time and could not fault it. The deposit was returned in full on checkout.
