The staff were absolutely outstanding, in particular Jason and Raman. Jason was helpful as soon as we got there and completely went the extra mile to help us out. Raman was very kind and attentive. The room was a typically perfect Premier Inn room, clean and well-supplied. Beds comfy, pillows, comfy, etc... Breakfast was fantastic and the bar staff in the evening were also very friendly and helpful. Again, Jason and Raman stood out here. The only negative thing would be the parking situation (not necessarily to do with the hotel itself). On the first night, I arrived at about 9pm and the hotel car park was completely full. The alternative multi-story car park is entered just before arriving at the Premier Inn but the parking app was very confusing (and I pride myself on understanding these things). The day rate seemed to be advertised as £9, but when booked through the app it states that the expiry time was 4:00am. There was no option to extend individual hours so I was sort of caught between risking a £100 fine by letting it expire as 4:00am or pay for the additional (unnecessary) day (that also expires at 4:00am the next morning. For some reason, this additional day was charged at £18, so all in all I paid around £27 for one night of parking. Now admittedly, this might have been unnecessary and I might have overthought it, but the confusing signage and inability to speak to a person doesn't really help. You can never trust camera-operated car parks to not screw you over so this was my rationale. The next day, I was lucky enough to get a parking spot at the hotel which was not only easier, but also cheaper. I got to the hotel at around 6pm so plenty of spaces. I'm not writing this as a complaint about the hotel, just as advice to anyone else who is thinking of arriving at the hotel later on in the day.
