Hotel has opened recently o That was by far too visible in the service, which was therefore quite poor. o No one was ever able to address any step of my stay properly. There was always something being made wrongly and / or with many doubts Language: o About 50% of the hotel staff do not even talk Portuguese, starting with the hotel manager, bar staff, etc. The remaining one (that speak Portuguese) always addressed me in English, even after knowing I was Portuguese. o For a Portuguese hotel this is not at all acceptable as this is a deny of the local culture o I felt like an alien in Lisbon, as it sounded like I was elsewhere in the world Check-In was quite challenging to be made: o I was not welcomed as a Honors Member o The receptionist was not clearly interested in providing a good service level, but much more interested in disputing any potential issue. o When I asked which of the 3 rooms I booked was the best one, I was informed that 411 was the one, but it was clearly the opposite as this was by far the smaller and it was also noisy. Rooms 111 and 113 had the higher quality (as noted in their website) and rooms 113 was the best as it was facing the patio, with less noise from the street. Rooms o Are quite nice and I loved the tile detail on the headboard o Rooms facing the street are not properly soundproofing… meaning you can hear the street noises… which is not proper for this level of hotel o Water in the shower had not enough pressure, making the shower in the morning to be poor quality. o The tea sachets do not have option for the night (such as chamomile or mint) which is a shame. Bar o I passed at the Bar to try to have a few snacks at the end of the day. Both outdoor and indoor are beautiful, by the way. After 10 minutes waiting to understand which were the menu options (as no one was able to explain me the food options), I was finally given a menu, which I still doubt was the correct one, given all the staff doubts… o I had to speak to 3 members of the staff to obtain this information. No one seemed to know how the Bar was actually operating. Breakfast o No one explained how it works o No menu at all o No English / Hot breakfast options, other than eggs o Lack of variety of food o Given the small variety, it was expectable that the quality would be high, but that was not the case. Check Out was OK but not perfect: o The person was quite nice, to be fair, but in the minute a question was raised about the invoices having to show the company VAT number, everything changed o I had to wait more than 20 minutes to find out that the invoices would still have to be made, as the person didn’t know how to do this o I had to wait several days for one of the room’s invoices… o The hotel charged me extra city taxes and hasn't yet refunded them, after acknowledging that I was correct... By now it has passed almost months! I therefore do not recommend this hotel to anyone for sure.
