It was the best decision we made to stay at the Court Residence in Linlithgow, rather than a very busy and more expensive Edinburgh. It very much suited our travel plans and it was a short 5 minute walk to the station with fast trains every 10 to 15 minutes to Edinburgh. Edinburg is a 20 minute train trip. We did a number of day trips to Edinburgh and travel was easy on their trains and trams. Accomodation was vey comfortable with a large room and kitchenette. Our daily supplies for milk, bread, cereals, spreads and fruit were topped up as required. The rooms are well heated as is the bathroom with underfloor heating and heated mirror and towel rail. Beds are warm and comfortable and decor is modern and first class. The owners were also most helpful and couldn't do enough to make our stay a memorable one. If you're into history, then Linlithgow Castle is just across the road. Nice eateries and coffee shops a plenty and it has a nice local town feeling. The locals are so friendly and helpful.
