"The hotel is in a great location. Just walk across the street after getting off the airport bus. I stayed on the top floor, a bit like a loft. It wasn't particularly comfortable, but the view was great, including the main road traffic. Although it was still under 10°C outside in late May, the landlord gave me an electric heater, which was very cozy. The bathroom also had a skylight, which you could open for some fresh air. The room amenities were average, with few toiletries. Tea and coffee were available at the restaurant downstairs. The breakfast wasn't particularly suited to Chinese palates; it was a buffet. I only had two slices of bread, a banana, and a bag of cereal. The hotel is a five-minute walk from the town center, but the only Tesco supermarket there is a bit more challenging, taking 20 minutes in the wind and rain."

"Übernachten Sie nicht in diesem Hotel. Schmutzige Handtücher, schmutzige Bettwäsche, keine Lebensmittel, kein Fernseher, Bettwanzen. Die Matratze ist hart und quietscht, und der Matratzenschoner ist voller schwarzer Flecken. Das Management kümmert sich nicht darum. Es riecht nach Schimmel."

"Schönes Hotel, etwa 10 Gehminuten vom Zentrum von Lerwick entfernt, mit ausreichend Parkplätzen. Das Hotel war teilweise etwas in die Jahre gekommen und scheint gerade renoviert zu werden. Der Speisesaal war schön, und das Badezimmer in unserem Zimmer sah aus, als wäre es kürzlich renoviert worden – eine tolle Dusche. Das Zimmer selbst war groß und bot alles, was wir brauchten, wirkte aber etwas altmodisch. Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit und das Essen ausgezeichnet (wir hatten Übernachtung mit Frühstück). Insgesamt ein toller Aufenthalt."

"Die Rezeption hilft Ihnen, vorzeitig zu bleiben und die Service-Einstellung im Prozess ist sehr freundlich. Vielen Dank! Die Isolierung ist relativ schlecht, aber auch gut, stört nicht die Pause. Das Zimmerfenster kann direkt das Meer sehen, wenn das Wetter gut ist, wird sehr begeistert sein."

The hotel's breakfast is very rich and delicious, and dinner is very convenient. Outside the window is the sea and the island opposite. The other side of the hotel is a hiking area. It is also very convenient to visit museums and shopping."

"The Fort Charlotte Guest House is a small lovely hotel in the main city of Lerwick, Shetland, UK. I can't say enough good things about my 8 night stay! Ryan & Anita are the perfect hosts: gracious, personable, helpful. The hotel is charming: my room was bright & comfortable, has a great bed, room to totally unpack, & excellent bathroom. Breakfast was served in the charming dining room. Each night, you make your choice, among about 7 options -- all fresh & delicious, served with all the tea or coffee you want. The hosts and staff here really made my stay on Shetland feel like I had a home. Do note: there are only 5 rooms, so book early! 5 stars all around."
