Il Giardino del Sole is a hidden gem We recently had the pleasure of staying at Il Giardino del Sole in Sicily, and I can’t recommend it enough! This hotel is truly amazing—the perfect blend of comfort and charm. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel right at home. They are exceptionally friendly and kind, always ready to help with a smile. It’s clear that they genuinely care about their guests’ experience. Now, let’s talk about the food! Every meal was magnificent and absolutely delicious. The portions were generous, and everything was beautifully presented. If you’re travelling to Catania, Il Giardino del Sole is a hidden gem that you simply must visit. I can’t wait to return!

Absolutely terrible, do not book here if you have any sense. They charged me £260 for a 3 night stay that i could not attend when a family member of mine passed away at short notice, instead of charging the usual one night no show fee. I asked if i could stay on another date instead and they ranted about how much money they lost because i didn’t turn up and that the best they could possibly do is offer me a mere 20% of my ‘next’ booking with them (i will definitely not be staying there, ever) for a stay of over 3 nights minimum. The whole experience has left a very bad taste in my mouth and i have felt like i’ve been treated like a money machine instead of an actual customer. When I explained to them i would have to write a review regarding this they began threatening me and saying my review was going to be a false review and defamation and that they where going to report me to the police. I am honestly shocked as I myself worked previously at a hotel and never did we ever charge customers for their entire stay if they weren’t able to make it, only for their first night. Very unprofessional and to be honest i don’t want them even having my card details as it seems they will go to any lengths just to get money off of people and they lack morals. Upset by the entire experience and felt their attitude was extremely unsavoury and their behaviour with randomly taking £260 out of my bank account 3 days into the stay when that money had only been in my account a few minutes shows that they just have been sat there, constantly trying to extract the money from my account. All in very bad taste

Clean and comforatable for the wooden cabin. The cabin was clean. Shower is perfect. Plenty of water pressure and that is what i like. Not very soundproof though. You can hear the naber clearly but for it was no problem. Restaurant is nice and the food is as expected but only in the weekend there are pizzas. Not easy to reach by car probably a result of the new highway. Bed is good and comforatble and there is even a little refrigerator.

Very friendly and very serene

We went for our friends wedding, with our 2yrs old daughter. The food is incredible, all the products are local, their jams made of oranges and passion fruit are to die for! The chefs in the kitchen and the pizza master are very talented and their food is exceptional! Wood fired oven pizzas are some of the best I ever had in my life! the location is a dream, everything was renovated by Marco and his father with the help of Signora Enza and their daughter. Behind the reception you can see the pictures of where they started from. Seeing the dreamlike location they have built together is incredible. The porcelain and the old family furniture in the big dining hall came out of a dream, literally, you could spend the whole day looking and wandering about the stories behind every little piece. The attention to detail is on point, from the very clean and tidy rooms to the swimming pool area passing through the garden and the orange orchard. Our daughter couldn't be happier in the playground and running around the whole place. Marco and his mother Enza are the best host! They are very helpful and ready to fulfill every request, even of a picky 2yrs old eater. We couldn't compliment and thank them enough. The staff is great and they work really hard to make everything perfect. Our friends wedding was even more magical thanks to the professionalism of everyone working there. We fell in love with every single detail. We can't wait to come back and visit you over and over again.we Strongly recommend it!!!!
