Disgusting room shower not working damp room lock on door had issues

Don’t be fooled by the pictures, although it doesn’t look to bad this place is horrendous, I had a deluxe double and there was nothing deluxe about it, bed was 2 singles with single mattresses pushed together and probably the most uncomfortable mattress I’ve ever had to sleep on. The shower was covered in black mould and I wouldn’t use it. There was an old bic razor and someone’s old soap still in shower aswell as blatant signs the toilet hadn’t been cleaned since last unfortunate person stayed there. It’s truly horrible place to stay I would honestly think I park bench would be cleaner and more comfortable

I would definitely not recommend this "hotel" the room was very much not up to standard. Cracks in the wall, paint falling off the walls, light switch hanging of the wall, stains on the beds and shower constantly running.

it had bogies everywhere very smelly and dirty and shower door fell on my back and in pain had sick everywhere and blood all over my sheets asked him to change it he did but had new one which had more blood on very trampy there and very dusty and smelly I wouldn't stay again and the bin had sick in it that was very trampy

Probably the worst experience of my life at an *hotel". We booked a couple of weeks before and on the day called to say we'd be late checking in. The "receptionist" spoke with a heavy foreign accent and denied we had a booking and then hung up before the issue was resolved. When we arrived - we had two rooms booked AND PAID for, he simply denied the booking and shrugged his shoulders. The hotel is vile anyway - with undesirable drunk/druggie types wandering around. But we had nowhere else to go and they already had our money. The maintenance man had to step in and tell the receptionist to sort something out. Meanwhile I called *********** with whom we had booked and they called him and he blatantly lied to them and said "I'll find them rooms" Eventually, after over an hour, the maintenance man got the manageress (Zara) on the phone and she was the first good thing about the experience. She said they had another hotel and she could fit us in there. However it was 11 miles from Leicester so we had to get back into the car and drive there which is completely ludicrous. Zara and her team at the other hotel were the complete opposite - very professional and calmed us down and gave us free drinks and breakfast in the morning. But avoid the Empire at all costs.
