Premier Inn Leicester (Forest East)

I have used this Premier Inn several times as a handy location for meeting friends. Now , following cost-cutting by Whitbread there are no options for friends to visit for lunch as so-called restaurant is closed after breakfast at 10.00 and doesn't reopen until 5 or 6 pm. Similarly it closes at 10.00pm at the latest so no entertaining .

Met with Remembrance weekend friends so only ate here. No public allowed in! Guests only and the place was like a ghost town.Literally no ambience whatsoever. KIM AND PARIS ( Bar and Waiter) were exceptionally helpful and friendly and helped to make our visit a little more enjoyable than the basic deserted cow boy town that this place has become! What is going on???? I had gammon, which was nice, chips were excellent, very limited menu so my husband had linguine? garlic bread and chips, again cooked nicely as the Chef had nothing else to do so it should have been. Think it'll be closed very soon, Good Luck to the poor staff being laid off...

No receptionist for the longest time so we had to wait - and eventually call a central number that put us through, so they turned up (immediately upon calling) - despite having comprehensively ignored the buzzer at reception side. No place to charge the car. Dirty and not vacuumed carpets. Heating from last century. Flaky (literally, flakes missing) from furniture. Noise from outside and noise from inside was pretty bad.
