Loved this hotel right near the university. The room was very clean and comfortable, especially the beds, and there was a little balcony with a table and chairs so we could sit outside and enjoy the views of the city while snacking, etc. The decor is modern and pleasing to the eye. We were pleasantly surprised by an elegant buffet breakfast in a beautiful dining room with tablecloths and flowers at all the tables. So pleasant after those chain motel breakfast? offerings with little plastic containers of cream, jam, etc. Not here. All china and glassware. Elegant and a great way to start the day. We are recommending this hotel to all our friends/family who are planning a visit to Montreal.

I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel and will definitely return. I needed a place that was walking distance to UQAM. My room was newly renovated, spacious, stylish, and comfortable. I loved the balcony and the bathroom. I walked to a local salad place one night and to a sushi place on another evening and ate my food on the small balcony while looking at the sunset and Mount Royal. I suggest asking for a room that faces the mountain if possible. The free breakfast had limited choices but everything was tasty and the restaurant itself is lovely. The students who staffed the hotel and restaurant were professional and pleasant.

We started our trip here and loved it. We found the queen bed a little small, but got used to it. We stayed in a nicer hotel later, but found the location of the ITHQ was much better. The street is great. Trying heading right (towards Mile End and away from downtown) and you’ll find plenty. The restaurant hall is very high-end and feels luxury. The breakfast staff are polite and very professional. Someone told us the front desk staff are all students, doing this for a bit of career experience. This tracks with their ages, and is impressive if so. Most of them – the manager especially – were very accommodating and switched on.

Staff were friendly and helpful, mostly young people cared about doing a good job. Location was excellent - right next to the metro, walking distance from the 747 airport bus, near a grocery store (Marche K), near bars and restaurants on Saint Denis, and not too far from the shops and restaurants on St Laurent. Breakfast was mostly the same every morning, but what they did was done very well - my favorites were the soft scrambled eggs, chocolate croissant, and granola with yogurt. Room was clean, balcony was fantastic, and we had what we needed. The only way to watch streaming services was to chromecast to the tv from your own device. It worked fine our first night and then it stopped working for some reason we could not figure out. The staff came up and also could not figure it out. We ended up asking for an hdmi cable, which they brought. The wifi worked fine (one of my sisters had to work on her laptop and she didn't have an issue), but on the phone I had to reconnect every time.

We have stayed at this hotel several times over the past 25 years or so. We have always had an excellent experience here, but after the recent renovations, the hotel is even better. A nice touch: the high quality Oneka soaps and lotions. The room was clean, well equipped, and quiet, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The gourmet breakfast is outstanding. We parked in the convenient underground heated garage. The close proximity to the subway (metro) and to St. Denis and Sherbrooke streets makes the location very convenient. We highly recommend!

It's a good location, staffs are very nice, patient. Room is clean, the restaurant environment is quite, breakfast is good, I like the croissant the best, it's a very good stay. Montreal is a beautiful city, feels like staying in Europe city, but more better than it.

An interesting mix of 85% very nice and 15% not quite right. Staff was very professional, but it was odd that there would have been a $50 charge for a one hour late check-out. And $100 for two hours. The movie pop-corn smell in the lobby was unexpected and not in keeping with the level of inn keeping I was expecting. Too many storage bins and the like stored in hallways. Very nice breakfast buffet. The entry doors to the hotel were confusing at best.

After reading some reviews online, we chose I'ITHQ because of location largely. We were pleasantly surprised that it is located right next to the Metro which made getting to Old Montreal an easy ride of just 3 stops. The staff was efficient and most spoke English and French. The room was modern and the beds very comfy. We really liked the modular furnishings - student designed? The little balcony was a nice perk. The bathroom was very well appointed with a great shower. The little bakery off the lobby was good for very yummy pastry in the morning. The parking garage was convenient, relatively inexpensive ($19CAD/day), and kept our car out of the snow. Most of the restaurants in the area were "fast casual" which was a little disappointing. We'd stay here again if in Montreal.
