Best Western Plus Cypress Creek

Hotel is under renovation. In the past three weeks we have stayed in eight different Nest Westerns. Unfortunately, this one can not compete with the others. First, they list a fitness center but it is currently unavailable due to renovation. The hotel should list this under information. We stayed in room 209. There was an unsecured laundry chute right outside the room (front desk clerk was informed). Our mattress sagged in the middle and the bedframe was broken. No smoke detector or sprinklers in our room. Breakfast choices were good and there was plenty of food. I think when they finish the upgrades it will be nice. Price was fair. Location right off the interstate was perfect.

When we entered the room, the smell of mildew and Curry was overwhelming. I saw that a plastic grocery bag was over the smoke detector. There was a stain of red color about the size of a dinner plate at the foot of the bed. There was a rip about 14 inches long and 5 inches across in the carpet. I called the front desk and the employee said that someone probably covered the smoke detector with the bag because they were smoking and didn't want to set off the alarm. Okay, but why didn't the cleaning people see the bag? She said that I would have to talk to the manager about the red puddle/ stain on the floor in the morning. The manager came the next morning and said that the stain was not blood and that she would have someone shampoo it up, which she did. There was mildew on the lampshades, bathtub, and all the grout on the bathroom ceramic tile. There was dirt and drywall dust on the carpet around all the walls. It was evident that the floor had not been vacuumed there since the drywall was installed. There were three places where the drywall had been repaired and not painted. It was filthy under the bed. I am not an emasculate housekeeper by any means, but this room was gross!

Pros: Breakfast was great, front desk service was excellent Cons: Remote didn’t work, hair in tub and on wall in shower, floor lamp didn’t have bulb

The hotel was clean and had a full breakfast...It was a short distance to the beach and the room price was more than cut in half . It was worth the short drive for the money saved.

A great hotel with an excellent staff and excellent accommodations. A good breakfast is offered and good rates. The room was comfortable and very clean. Would definitely stay again!!! A good choice of restaurants and stores near the hotel. It’s a very good choice!

It's one of the greatest BW I have stayed at in awhile. Very clean, friendly staff and a very awesome hot breakfast! It has a very decent gym, the rooms are a nice decent size and even though it's cold, the pool is very pretty when the light it up at night.
