Las Palmas Urban Center

Had an overnight stay here as we went to Granca Fest. From the outside, the hotel may not look the prettiest., however, we were pleasantly surprised when we got inside. The reception and cleaning staff were all lovely, and had enough English to help us with our questions. Our room, no. 2, exceeded our expectations with a separate galley kitchen, fully equipped, a separate bathroom and a large, spacious studio bedroom. Everywhere was immaculately clean and the decor is contemporary modern. We had a very peaceful night's sleep and we will use this hotel again when back in Las Palmas. It's in a good location and the cafe, Olivia across the road is a good choice for breakfast. If you like traditional, but quirky, try the bar Sacristia further along Calke Valencia.

The walls are paper thin. You hear everything that your neighbours are doing from watching TVs to arguing in the middle of the night. Staff is unfriendly and unsupportive. Room cleaning is only done when you request it. Of the two hot plates in the pantry kitchen only one worked. Utensils and plates provided are very basic. Furniture is worn and run down. On the plus side: a safe is provided free of charge.

Vinimos desde jueves hasta el domingo, solicitamos una habitación en la 1 planta ya que veníamos con una persona recién operada de una pierna, nos dijeron que nos daban las dos habitaciones que habíamos reservado en la 1 planta y cuando llegamos nos encontramos con que las habitaciones estaban en la segunda. Cuando lo comentamos en recepción nos dijeron que como las otras personas habían llegado antes se las habían dado a ell@s. Lo que ocasionó que la persona operada no pudiera salir todo lo que estaba planeado, ya que, el hotel no cuenta con ascensor o alguna facilidad para las personas con movilidad reducida. Solíamos venir aquí todos los años por estas fechas pero lo que está claro es que no repetimos
