Las Catalinas Doorway

Despite being a very nice project and condo , the condo itself was very poorly equipped in terms of plates , silverware etc. The tv in the main room wasn’t 2 hours after I checked out I got a text saying there were 2 towels missing and had to pay $80 My reply was that it’s too bad this is brought up after I left and that when I checked in a count of the towels in the place wasn’t made in front of me They kept texting over the weekend asking for payment for $80 after I spent thousands in my stay I paid the towels under protest and most likely won’t return to this place

Our family visited Las Catalinas in August 2025, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. Before our arrival, our villa was changed. Upon entering the new villa, we found several broken items, and to make matters worse, we were charged for a dishwasher we never used and didn’t break. The exterior doors didn’t lock properly (which we had to have fixed as this created a security concern) and daily construction took place right outside our front door from morning until night. Additionally, the villa we were moved to did not include access to the pool club, which caused confusion. It's important to note that pool access isn’t automatically included—you have to purchase a membership if your villa doesn’t come with it. On the positive side, the property itself is uniquely beautiful, and the pool club (once you gain access) is lovely. The town is very walkable, offering modern conveniences and a great selection of restaurants with excellent food. However, be aware that there is extensive construction happening throughout the area, which can impact the overall experience.

It’s a very beautiful place, but not done there is construction going on and it’s very loud. Only three restaurants not much to do with kids. The drive is one hour away from the airport without traffic. In my opinion this place is good for couples only.

Peaceful and safe location We loved this property location. It is VERY safe and convenient for a relaxing vacation. We traveled with another couple, who booked a different room on the property and had included the beach club ($30/person) and daily maid service, for the same price. We did not realize that was an option when booking so would suggest reaching out about that.

Beautiful property! Very quiet and peaceful. We will be back.

A little too much. It feels too fake and out of place. This area is a reminder of how much forest has been removed as well as how many monkeys, birds and local fauna have been affected. If you respect Mother Earth, do not spend any money on this killing field.
