Villa Glen-Tara

This is a perfectly situated guest house in Taussat/Lanton, close to the larger Andernos-les-Bains, and perfect location to visit the entire Bassin d'Arcachon. It's quiet and removed from the hustle and tourists you find in Arcachon; very relaxing, yet close to everything. The hostess Michelle is amazing. She made reservations for us for dinner each night and for e-bikes in Andernos, gave us maps and instructions, and suggested the best restaurant for what we wanted, so good that we ate there twice. Our room was on the top floor, so do be aware that there are some very steep stairs, but the view from the windows made the stairs worth it! The room felt private, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom beautiful with a big shower. Breakfast was very good and served in a light-filled room. We visited Arcachon and the Dune du Pilat the day of our arrival and rode bikes to Cap Ferret on the second day. Fabulous location to see the whole Bassin d'Arcachon Just wish we could have stayed longer.

I visited glen Tara to attend my nephews wedding near by there are no words to describe how amazing this place is Michelle goes above and beyond to make everyone feel at home nothing is too much trouble The rooms and facilities are first class All our family and friends were made so welcome even if they weren’t staying there we all met up and Michelle was amazing I would definitely come back Thank you so much Michelle

Today is our last day at Glen Tara after a 4 day stay. We have been staying here as we were attending a wedding nearby and our selection of B and B had been due to proximity of the wedding venue. Oh how lucky were we to have happened upon this lovely B and B that quickly become the hub of the wedding guests, whether they were staying here or not! Michelle made everyone feel so welcome and literally left no stone unturned with her kind and thoughtful hospitality, going above and beyond for everyone. In addition to this, the bedroom facilities and breakfast were second to none and we have truly had a wonderful stay. The wedding itself was a wonderful occasion but Michelle has enchanted the entire experience with her hosting on the days before and after the wedding. Superbe maison d’hôte et excellent séjour ! Michelle et Laurent nous ont accueilli chaleureusement et conseillé durant tout notre séjour ( + pleins de petites attentions ). Le petit déjeuner était copieux , la piscine propre et le jardin bien entretenu , ce fut très agréable ! La chambre était très belle et très propre, literie très confortable ! Idéalement placé pour se déplacer dans tout le bassin d’Arcachon et dans le sud ouest . Le confort et le calme de la villa est parfait pour les familles et couples. On s’y sent comme à la maison ! Superbe expérience , merci encore !!!
