GGuest UserBefore our trip I read a lot of comments that hotel is pretty old and tired. But when we arrived we realized that hotel has been renovated. All the rooms are modern, fresh and cozy. Hotel has good parking, tasty breakfast on the last floor with the nice view. Rooms have comfy beds and balkonies with the good view. Location is not far from the city center and train station. From the last one you can easily reach to Venice. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I can defintelly recomend this hotel for couples and families with kids and grand parents.

MMR1000We enjoyed our stay in the hotel: location is convenient and close to the city center (there is a close-by bus station where you can take the bus to the trains station and/or the city center.
The hotel is clean and in a very good condition. Good value for money too.

VValeriaL'hotel è un po' distante dal centro, ma molto comodo per l'autostrada e per i collegamenti con le zone vicine. La struttura è moderna e funzionale, le camere un po' datate. Nella nostra (510) il condizionatore faceva condensa e pioveva sul comodino....e non è stato possibile riposare per il rumore del frigobar, davvero eccessivo. Lo abbiamo segnalato in reception e hanno fatto il possibile per venirci incontro.

Ffcb06Wir sind auf der Durchreise müssen hier aufladen bei der Teslastation.Die ist beim Hotel.Wie wir es kennen sind die Stationen immer an Hotels oder Ähnliches angeschlossen.Manchmal braucht es einen Code für die Toiletten ect.Wir wollten im Hotel etwas essen und trinken.Kamen in den Flor,dort hiess es Restaurant.Leider war das Geschlossen obwohl es bis 14:30 und ab 19:30 Uhr geöffnet haben sollte.Also gingen wir auf die Toilette.Danach kam eine Dame wutentbrannt und hat uns lauthals gefragt ob wir hier Gast seien.Wir verneinten ,danach warf Sie uns Raus.Als nicht Hotelgast ,hat Mann hier nichts zu suchen.Haben wir so noch nie erlebt bin froh nicht in diesem Hotel Gast zu sein.Wir wollten ja essen und auf die Toilette nicht mehr und nicht weniger.In Spanien,Deutschland ,Österreich nirgends wurden wir so zurechtgewiesen und ist das Restaurant NUR für Hotelgäste.

GGastnutzerThe hotel Donatello is well located across from the city's Basilica di San Antonio, and about 5 minutes from the famous Prato della Valle and 10-15 from the city centre and old city (university, ghetto, daily markets, pedestrian street, etc). From the outside, the hotel looks quite elegant and I suspect that front facing rooms have a nice view. To be honest, however, everything else about the hotel was rather disappointing. Rooms are actually tired and pretty gloomy. The single rooms are extremely small, the doubles are of decent size but tend to overlook blind narrow courtyards and feel rather dark and a bit depressing with a decor that seems stuck in the 1970s. Cleanliness is variable, lighting unpleasant, and whilst beds are decent, the pillows are hard and quite uncomfortable. Breakfast is quite poor. If you come when one of the ladies taking care of the breakfast room are around, they will prepare you a decent coffee from the barista machine, however, if they are not, it is a fairly ghastly automatic machine that uses instant coffee to make ”fake” espressos and cappuccino which is used instead. Juice is a strange watery thing from a machine. The best part are the nice homemade cornetti (croissants filled with jam, cream or chocolate) but apart from them, fruit, salad, bread, etc are all of poor quality and the scrambled eggs and meat are stone cold. There is a toaster which doesn't seem to work well and mediocre bread. Service in the hotel is not very friendly - reception staff ranged from reasonably cordial to barely polite and in one case, outright unpleasant. In short, the place is certainly not horrible, but equally, it doesn't seem too bothered about customers let alone interested in making them want to come back. A bit of a wasted opportunity given the nice location they fail to capitalise on.

This hotel has many positives. It’s spotlessly clean and well-located, being just an 7-minute drive from the station, and a 10-minute walk from Piazza delle Erbe. The staff were all courteous and professional. There was a decent selection of hot and cold, and savoury and sweet foods for breakfast, the quality of which was excellent. Our room overlooked the courtyard (as we requested), so was protected from traffic noise, which was a boon, as the air-conditioning had been switched off (despite it being relatively warm in the room), necessitating sleeping with the window open. The bed and pillows were very comfy. The one quirk was the ‘style-over-substance’ wardrobe unit, with its heavy metal-mesh sliding door. At first, we didn’t realize that sliding it towards the wall (thus blocking access to the bathroom) exposed a large drawer containing the hair dryer and a safe. (Another reviewer presumably never found this ‘hidden drawer’, as they wrote in their review that there was a ”lack of drawers for shirts and accessories”.) This unit seems to have an inherent design fault: When the heavy metal-mesh door is moved towards the wall, a movement sensor switches on an LED strip light in the wardrobe. When the door is closed, the sensor beam is interrupted, so the light should go off. However, when closed, the door isn’t physically close enough to the sensor to interrupt the beam completely, so, to prevent nuisance tripping, they’ve added a magnetic rod to bridge the air-gap and cover the sensor enough to switch off the light. Unfortunately, this magnetic rod is easily displaced, so if you don’t realize you’ve moved it, the light remains on until the magnetic rod is put back into its correct position. A nuisance if you have to get a maintenance engineer to come and fix it. (Photo. attached.) All in all we had a great stay, and would certainly return.

Während ich blieb , Gruppentouren wie Chinesen und Lateinamerikaner machen Restaurants zerstört und Hotel kann nicht antworten ..

GGuest UserOur stay in Casa Del Pellegrino was very good. It was clean and comfortable. We ate in the restaurant a few times at night and loved the fillet steak, the pork ribs and desserts were to die for. They have a tiramisu that is specific to this region, its the best we've ever had. The cafe was very good also, great coffee and pastries very friendly staff. The breakfast buffet was fine, good strong coffee, juices, plenty of everything. The reception staff were very accommodating. We would certainly recommend to our friend's. David & Patricia

Großer Ort für das Geld. Lieben das Restaurant in Giorgio, machen sie außergewöhnliche Pizza. Wir verbrachten die ganze Zeit im Fitnessraum und später im Pool, wo wir zwei große Top-Tap-Toe Tanzer von Frosinone trafen. Das einzige Problem war, dass das Nachbarzimmer sich um 3 Uhr über das Banging beschwert hat. Aber das war unser Fehler, wir erkennen, und wir sind tief bedauerlich. Padova (Padua) ist eine wunderbare Stadt, voll von Dingen, aber ein bisschen über den Ort. Der Hauptblick, den wir vorschlagen, ist die „Ponte de quatre martiri“, wo Sie die Sonnenuntergang und die Spider umgeben genießen können. Auch wir schlagen einen Tag für Legnaro vor, das einzige, was zu bewachen ist, kommende Thunderstorme. Das beste über Padua ist aber das Bussystem, das frei und immer rechtzeitig ist. Ich habe vergessen, die schöne Capela di Scovregni zu erwähnen, wo man die Meisterwerke von Lionardo und Rafaello bewundern kann. Wir möchten auch dem Personal für ihre außergewöhnliche Leistung danken, die mit dem Motto zusammengefasst wird: „Nein“, was sie gesagt haben, bedeutete „Natürlich“. Die einzige Beschwerde war, als wir um den Zugang zum Sitzungsraum gebeten hatten, auf den sie antworteten: „...cuesti un costo“, was uns erkannte, wie schwierig das Leben für alle ist.

Freundlicher Empfang an der Rezeption und am Frühstücksbuffet, gutes Frühstück, schönes geräumiges Zimmer, bequemes Bett, großes Bad, geräuscharme Klimaanlage. Alles in einem sehr wertigen Zustand. Geräumige Tiefgarage kostenlos. Nettes Feature: Bei Bedarf kann man am Smart-TV seine Handyfotos und Videos schon mal zusammen anschauen. Bei dem günstigen Preis muss man sich allerdings ohne Kühlschrank auf dem Zimmer behelfen und die Stadtrandlage am Autobahnzubringer bietet sich nur eingeschränkt für das fußläufige Erkunden der Sehenswürdigkeiten Paduas an (geht aber auch). Bushaltestelle in der Nähe.
