Bed Bugs, Scams, & No Hot Water Let me begin by saying that I had no intention of writing this review until Adam’s Hotel marked us as a “no-show” so that we could NOT possibly write our review on the website that we booked. We just left Adam’s Hotel after a 3 day stay, and we were ready to just let everything go and put it all in the past…but this devious way of controlling their reviews made us change our mind. First off, let me just say that the staff and cleaning ladies were very nice. No problems with check-in, so there’s that. This whole reservation started out suspiciously when we received an email a few weeks from our arrival date on the platform we booked. I cannot say the website that we booked here as google will not allow it, but it is the biggest and most common hotel booking platform that everyone uses. We had already paid in full, but we received an email asking for our credit card info so they could put a small charge on our credit card, and then take it off again. Some sort of verification. We have used this platform for over 10 years, and something sounded very suspicious. It sounded like they were hacked or something. I replied asking if their account had been compromised and that it was very weird that a hotel do this. I told them I was going to contact customer support. I then received a reply saying, “Oh don’t worry about it.”. That was the first suspicious thing, and I still don’t know what this was all about. I would show the screen shot of this, but since they marked our reservation as a no-show within the platform, the entire conversation has disappeared and I cannot get it back. Again, really weird. Anyway, we checked in, no issue. Keep in mind it’s about 5 degrees in Athens at that point. We went to take a shower, and it was all cold water. We were freezing…but again…I can easily put that in the “funny travel story” category. Woke up in the morning hoping for a warm shower…again, all cold. I went to the reception to ask about it, and they said they would send someone to fix it. So that night, when shower time came…again, cold water. I went back down and asked a different receptionist more clearly about possibly the limitations of the hot water supply…and he kindly admitted that other hotel guests had complained about this in the past. So, ok…hot water is limited at peak times. Got it. So, the next day we tested at 7am, again at 11am, evening at 7pm, evening at 11pm. Cold. So basically, yea…cold showers in Athens. Not fun. All of this is not optimal, but again, we are really easy going and can let this slide. We are in Athens right? The buildings are old, and it’s not easy running a hotel. We get it. Not fun, but ok. While we were drying off, we noticed a bug crawling up the curtains. I looked carefully, did a quick google search for bed bugs, and low-and-behold…it was one of them. I tried to crush it, but those things just don’t want to die! I had dealt with bed bugs once in my life like 20 years ago…and boy was

Das Hotel liegt günstig zur U-Bahnstation Ambelokipi zum Flughafen; im Hotel hat alles ein bißchen Fernost - Atmosphäre; alles wirkt sauber, ordentllich, ruhig und gediegen; außerordentlich kulante Check- out Regelung; Super Frühstück mit ruhigem, aufmerksamem Service; mein Zimmer - nach Upgrade - mit allem , was ich mir wünsche! An der Reception : aufmerksaner, freundlicher - und persönlicher Service! Ich komme gerne wieder!

Die Lage des Academias Hotel ist für eine Stadterkundung perfekt: sehr zentral im Univiertel der Stadt, unweit des Syntagma-Platzes gelegen. Ein eher kleines, aber feines Stadthotel der Marriott-Brand Autograph-Collection. Gediegen modern, wenn auch nicht sonderlich spektakulär eingerichtet, das Superior-Zimmer war mit 34qm ausreichend groß. Schöne Nasszelle mit Badewanne und Dusche, sehr sauber und neu. Die Highlights des Hotels befinden sich ganz unten (mit einem reizenden Wellness-Spa-Floor auf -1) und - Achtung, Trommelwirbel - einem Top-Japanischen Restaurant im siebenten Himmel - äh - Stockwerk: wer auf Sushi, Sashimi & Maki Rolls steht, sollte diesen zeitgemäßen Japaner unbedingt ausprobieren, toller Blick auf die Hohe Stadt (vulgo Akropolis) inklusive. Da überdacht, gerade in der kalten Jahreszeit optimal. Außerdem glänzt das offensichtlich gut geführte Hotel mit extrem freundlichem Personal in allen Abteilungen. Ein Juwel, mitten in Athen. Chapeau!

Hotel liegt sehr zentral in einem belebten Viertel. Die Metrostation Monastiraki ist ca. 5 Minuten entfernt. Da wir jedoch nachts um 3:00 Uhr angekommen sind, fährt um diese Uhrzeit keine Metro mehr. Das Hotel bietet Taxiabholung am Flughafen an. Es ist ein vollautomatisiertes Hotel. Einen Tag vor Anreise bekommt man den Code für den Haupteingang und das Zimmer. Sehr einfach ausgestattetes Zimmer. Bettgestell mit Matratze. Raum in Beton gehalten. Badezimmer ist ok. Wenig Licht. Unser Raum hatte zwar ein Fenster, allerdings kann man den Vorhang nicht offenlassen, da jeder andere Gast hineingucken kann. Kein Personal. Preis-Leistung in unserem Fall mit 50 Euro/Nacht ok. Leider kann kein Gepäck im Hotel aufbewahrt werden. Empfohlen wird einem das Athensotel, zu Fuss 250 m entfernt. 4 €/Gepäckstück. Das Hotel macht auf möglichen nächtlichen Lärm aufmerksam, wir hatten es aber total ruhig.

Although a distance of 10 minutes walk (when you know how) from the Acropolis Museum, it was well worth it. Note though that there is also a trolley bus in to Syntagma which runs tregularly during the day. A small boutique hotel. With friendly, polite and professional personal throughout the hotel. Our room was spotlessly clean. With fresh linen. You have a choice to have your room cleaned or not. of the 5 nights and 2 nights we stayed, even though every other day we requested fresh towels, we were given fresh towels and our bed was made everyday. The breakfast is basic, in that they do not provide a cooked breakfast, but the choice was good enough. Note this is a bed and breakfast hotel only.

Das Hotel ist neu, obwohl es eine eigene Wohnung ist, hat auch einen Rezeption, moderne Dekoration, Passwort-Verschluss, TV, Kühlschrank, Kaffeemaschine, Klimaanlage, alles sollte ausschöpft werden, der Schlüssel ist gut zu verwenden. Wir leben in vier Personen, eigentlich sind es zwei Zimmer, die jeweils eine Tür haben 🚪, und es gibt auch eine öffentliche Ausfahrt. Das Interessante ist, dass üblicherweise Getränke und kleine Lebensmittel gezahlt werden, hier ist alles kostenlos, zu glücklich, um zu wissen, dass jeder Bier in dem Restaurant 10 Euro wert ist! Ich bin froh, dass du mich beglückwünschst.

Great location to all sights and easy access to tons of restaurants and shops. Our room was a little small, but it did accomodate our needs since we spent most of our time walking through the streets. The breakfast was very good and generous. We were especially with Patagenia (sp??) who went out of her way to help us reheat some leftovers when our stove would not work (or we couldn't figure it out). Our view on 2nd floor was of a courtyard so we didn't share some the better views that might be available to upgrdaed rooms. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Die Lage des Hotels ist großartig, es liegt in der Fußgängerzone und es ist super nah an allen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Der Dekorationsstil des Zimmers ist großartig, geräumig genug! Ein großes Bett und ein Sofa können als Bett genutzt werden, damit es bei vier Personen nicht überfüllt wird

Die Vorschauminnen, die die Rezeption und die Toilette abschneiden, sind sehr bescheiden, aber sie scheinen einige Fachkompetenzen zu vermissen. Die Einrichtungen, die das Hotel bietet, haben nicht klar gesagt, dass jedes Mal die Rezeption zu fragen ist. Das Zimmer ist groß, aber es gibt Betten, Kleider, Fernseher und Fernsehschränke, keine Tischtafel. Ich fühle mich gut, nachts zu schlafen, aber wenn es sich um ein Reisezimmer handelt, ist es etwas unkomfortabel, wenn ich heiße Dinge will 🍽️ nicht bequem. Es gibt keinen heißen Wasserschlaf. Die Dekoration ist immer noch möglich, das Badezimmer warmes Wasser ist unbegrenzt. Die Rezeption hat uns nicht die Zeit und Ort des Frühstücks angekündigt und uns nicht darüber informiert, wo wir nicht vier Tage lang zum Frühstück übernachten. Es ist möglich, dass wir daran gewöhnt sind, die Gäste an die Gespräche zu erinnern, die wir mit dem Frühstück arbeiten. Diese Zeit ist nicht bekannt, und wir haben uns die Rechnungen gelesen, um zu entdecken, dass unser Konsum auch zum Frühstück gehört. Insgesamt ist es eine Dekoration, die Lage des Hotels und die grundlegende Nachtumgebung. Gute Hotels, aber es gibt noch viele Unzulänglichkeiten, die zu verbessern sind.

Tudo impecável. Boa localização. Pequeno almoço de qualidade superior. Simpatia dos funcionários muito boa. Internet tem de melhorar.
