Das Zimmer war sauber und gut vorgestellt . Einchecken wurde schwieriger, da der Bildschirm nicht für uns und andere funktionierte, was bedeutete, auf einen Empfangsmann zu warten, um den Desktop zu bedienen. Sie war freundlich und effizient. Das Frühstück war gut. Die Parkplätze waren begrenzt und wir bezahlten für Parkplätze auf einer nahe gelegenen Straße . Dies erschien billiger als der Multi-Story-Park selbst wenn der Rabatt angewendet wurde
Insgesamt waren wir mit unserem zwei Übernachtungsverweigerung in St Albans zufrieden. Das war das vierte Hotel, das wir aufhielten und war sicherlich das Beste der Bande

We stayed for a Thursday and Friday night. The rooms are quaint it being a 15th century hotel. Room 1 is quite small with a tiny shower and toilet. Room 2 is much better and even has an air conditioning unit. The main issues with rooms 1 ,2 &3 is they are at the front of the hotel on a very busy road which goes uphill and thus generates even more traffic noise. The windows in the rooms are very old and do not shut properly and the secondary glass is ineffective. It means we were continuously woken up in the night due to the traffic noise. We were moved to room 2 after 1st night which was much nicer but still suffered from the noise problem. Unfortunately there were no interior rooms available. Our sons stayed in room 16 on the floor above which suffered similar noise problems, we were disappointed to have been placed in the two worse rooms in the hotel even though be booked 6 months earlier. On the positive side the breakfast was very good with tasty ingredients for the full English. There were also another 5 or 6 hot options. There are no pastries available which appears to have been discontinued so should be removed from the breakfast menu. The real positive not is that the hotel provide the wedding dinner reception for my nieces wedding for 50 people which was organised very well with very good food. So if you are booking check they are not allocating you a room overlooking the road in particular do not stay in rooms 1,2,3 & 16

We recently enjoyed an overnight stay at the beautiful and luxurious Sopwell House and would like to thank all staff we interacted with for their professionalism and superb customer service. Special mentions include - - a big thank you to Harris for organising our lovely stay - he was our first contact and we appreciated his work. - Monica at reception was very smart and professional and we appreciated her efficiency at check in. - Freddie, in the bar, was delightful and very professional but friendly and his fun interaction with our daughters was great! - Ben, also in the bar, was most attentive and professional, ensuring we had opportunity to order more, which we did!! It was great to see how seriously the hotel takes food allergies - - Phoebe, in the restaurant, and - Sarah, at breakfast, both calmly and knowledgeably answered our food allergy related questions and my daughter was most confident eating there. - Breakfast chefs - the superb buffet breakfast was very well laid out and always stocked so a shout out to the chefs involved. We look forward to staying again and will definitely book a longer stay! Thank you all, Graeme & Heather

On flying out of Luton we decided not to fight the M1 south with the Monday morning commuters and stayed here overnight, what a good decision that was. The location is lovely in a beautiful farm setting with a large courtyard servicing the rooms. We were greeted by Katie who was lovely and welcoming and shown to Stable 3 in the far corner. A lovely appointed room with a king size bed, TV, and wet room, everything very clean and tidy with a very good selection on the tea tray, plenty of towels. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding of a high quality. Yes there is road noise but it's more background noise and can't be avoided so you take it as one of those things. Breakfast was very good with cereal, juice, lots of fresh fruit, yogurt along with tea and fresh coffee. I opted for poached egg on toast and my wife had beans on toast with veggie sausages. We loved the room a proper farmhouse character room with fireplace and flagstone flooring in the hallway, and lovely countryside views, perfect retirement house! So for £95 it is on a par with hotels at the airport but for the homely feel and the service provided we will now always return here if we ever fly from Luton again. If you are reading this then take my advice and book here, it's also an easy 12 minute drive to Terminal 1 car park. The Fox pub is 5 mins away for your evening meal, also very good.

I booked an Afternoon Tea for 7 of us ladies to celebrate my sisters upcoming wedding. There weee 7 of us cousins and sisters who wanted to do something nice. At the time of calling in to book - I was asked to pay for the whole thing up front. Couldn’t leave a deposit. I was told the menu for teas and afternoon tea would be emailed as I mentioned that 3 of us would need the vegetarian option. Nothing was sent. Emailed them still nothing and the evening before I sent a message via their online form to confirm 3 veggie options. On arrival there was confusion when we asked for 3 vegetarian for the afternoon tea. The Tea options were not the same as their options available on their website. They didn’t even offer a Tea menu. The waiting staff were in panic mode and initially I was blamed for not letting them know. When I asked for a refund - a manager came to speak to me. In the end we agreed to stay and were offered a round of complimentary drinks but were told no cocktails available. The crockery was cracked. I had to ask for it to be changed. The bread on the sandwiches were stale. And the Prosecco I paid for was not served until much later when I reminded them It wasn’t until 45 mins into us arriving did we get served. The staff were extremely nice but overall - I would NEVER book an Afternoon Tea and advise others not to. I should have gone to my usual Sopwell House but thinking I would try a different place I tried here. Big mistake

Wir sind gerade von einem 2-Nacht-Stadt zurückgekommen. Wir haben dieses Hotel als eine 30-minütige Fahrt von Wembley gewählt und war nicht wie die anderen Hotels teuer. Wir kamen 2 Stunden früh für eine Kontrolle in der Rezeption, aber der Herr bei der Rezeption hat uns in keinem Problem geprüft und uns Zugang zu unserem Zimmer gegeben. Unser Zimmer war eine gute Größe mit einem Doppelbett und zusätzlichen Ausziehen Sofabett. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und gemütlich und hatte alles, was wir für unseren Aufenthalt benötigt haben, wie Eisen, Kettle, Haartrockner und Handtücher. Es gab sogar ein kleines Zeichen im Badezimmer, dass wir wissen, ob wir etwas vergessen haben, nur dass sie wissen. Das Frühstück war beide Tage schön mit viel Wahl. Es war zu Ende beschäftigt, aber wir wurden angeraten, das bei der Eincheckung. Wir haben heute Morgen nicht von Wembley bis 3 Uhr zurückgekommen, aber nach einer schnellen E-Mail an die Rezeption um halb 7, sie sortierten sich spät aus, so dass wir ein bisschen mehr Schlaf haben könnten vor unserer 4.5 Stunde Reise nach Hause. Das Personal hier arbeitet so hart und es schien die gleichen 2 Gesichter unsere ganze 3-Tage-Aufenthalt. Ich weiß ehrlich gesagt nicht, wie sie es tun und lachen weiter. Nichts war zu viel Problem für sie. Wir werden definitiv zurückkehren.

We had a lovely room, tea and coffee was ample, the room was spotless clean , bed was comfortable slept like a log . The staff were all beautiful,and so very helpful and friendly. We only had breakfast payed for it separately, but it was definitely worth the money. Very filling and plenty of things you could help yourself to cereal, juice, croissants, and then full English and it comes hot as well . Will be honest it is spotless , but in some parts of it could do with a bit of a refurbishment, but will definitely be going again , no doubt about that . Thankyou xx
