Absolutely amazing, my wife and I loved it here, quality premises and great hosts, totally would recomend this. Beautiful place and such a peaceful area but not to far away from other lovely place, I would highly recomend this.

We had a wonderful stay at Station House B%B Railway Sleeper. The Railway Sleeper in Lanark, Scotland. Our host, Alan, was a lovely man and made us feel very welcome. He suggested several places for us to visit, and his recommendations were excellent. The accommodation itself was immaculate, comfortable and luxurious, with beautiful, very good-quality furniture throughout. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the whole property felt beautifully presented and relaxing. The setting is absolutely lovely. peaceful, pretty and surrounded by beautiful countryside. We particularly enjoyed seeing the sheep on the hills opposite while relaxing in the hot tub, as well as watching the many different birds visiting the bird feeder, which could be enjoyed from the Juliet balcony. There was also a complimentary bottle of Pinot in the fridge, which was a lovely and much appreciated touch, and delicious too! Alan kindly let us know that the water pressure was a little low during our stay, which occasionally made the shower and washing dishes slightly less convenient, but it certainly didn't spoil our stay. One small thing that may be helpful for future guests to know is that the property may be more suited to those who are comfortable using stairs. I have mobility issues myself, and because the stairs are quite steep, I found going up and down them a little challenging at times, particularly as the toilet is downstairs. This is very much a personal consideration and may not be an issue for most guests. Similarly, the kitchen stools were not quite suitable for me personally due to my mobility issues, although I imagine they would be perfectly comfortable for most people. Overall, these were only minor considerations for us and did not take away from what was a truly lovely stay. The accommodation, cleanliness, comfort, beautiful surroundings and, above all, Alan's wonderful hospitality made this a very special place to stay. We would happily give The Railway Sleeper 5 stars and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable and luxurious break in a beautiful setting.

A brilliant experience during our short stay at Station House including excellent food at breakfast whilst the facilities were second to none. Spacious bedroom with large shower and big towels. Alan was a friendly and welcoming host who also provide use of his EV charger. Will definitely return here for a future trip and can highly reccommend.

Fabulous guest house, the house is beautifully decorated with quality furnishings. Alan was very welcoming, couldn't do enough for us and easy to chat to. Very comfy bed with lovely linen and a super bathroom. We had a picnic tea outside on the patio with lovely farmland views and lots of birds to watch. We would highly recommend this guest house and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Situated in the countryside but still convenient for main roads this bed and breakfast is of a very high quality with a lovely atmosphere and very friendly helpful hosts. Our room was quite small but the owners have made good use of space and their great attention to detail and beautiful bedding ensured we enjoyed every comfort for a good visit . We loved the en suite, great shower too. Excellent breakfast freshly cooked. Highly recommend this place can’t think you can find better value in the area.

Used this after recommendation from a friend and it's great location in relation to our trip. We were welcomed by Alan our host who sorted our breakfast order and time for the next morning and showed us to our room, which was upgraded as he was doing some more work. The premises are immaculately clean and beautifully presented with attention to detail. Everything looks in place and is clearly not cheap, all the furniture is of high quality, the artwork was stunning and again all fitted in perfectly. The colours throughout again are carefully chosen and the whole ambience is of peace and welcoming. The beds are comfortable and a good size, the bathrooms huge, the water pressure wasn't great but plenty enough to have a good shower. The breakfast, freshly cooked to order from the night before and again beautiful. This place is a must stay.

Lovely location. Room and facilities were second to none. Breakfast was amazing with plenty of choice and all fresh. Staff were fantastic and Alan went above and beyond. The atmosphere was cosy and warm. Definitely value for money.
