Wir hatten ein sehr geräumiges Zimmer im ersten Stock mit schönem Ausblick. Alles war sehr sauber. Auch das Bad war geräumig mit heißem Wasser, Duschkabine, Waschbecken und Toilette in sehr gutem Zustand. Die Lage des Hotels ist zentral, so dass die Kirchen in Lalibela zu Fuß erreichbar sind. Das Personal spricht gut Englisch und ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Leider gab es nur zu sehr beschränkten Zeiten Strom, aber trotzdem ausreichend um alle Geräte zu laden.

This is the place to stay in Lalibela. They were there to pick us up at the airport with helpful staff. The rooms were clean and spacius. The owner, Messey, was gracious and helpful. They provided us with guides and transportation to the churches. Prices were reasonable. Not your typical venue, but should be experienced.

We have stayed many times over the years at Tukul Village during our visits for both business and vacation and always found friendly, efficient and cheerful service from all the staff. Alex and Melisse in Reception are willing to help out in all ways with anything that is needed. On many occasions a splendid buffet is arranged in the dining room for guests. Fresh juices are served and a good selection of local beers is always available. The staff go out of their way to offer any help and advice that might be required. We will stay again whenever we visit Lalibela and would encourage anyone else to do so too.

We had the most amazing time at Tukul Village! Every single member of the staff was super friendly and helpful. The cbeck-in went really smoothly (we were able to go into the rooms quite early in the morning and everything was super clean and prepared). The beautifully decorated rooms are all inside Tukuls (Bungalows) with amazing interiour design and super modern bathrooms. The balcony of each room presents an amazing view over the hills of magical Lalibela. Let's just say our picture of the food doesn't lie...it was soooooo delicious! Breakfast lunch and dinner is offered and presented in traditional mosebs. The location is super central, i.e. the churches are a 10 min walk away. All in all we had such a memorable stay. I recommend this place whole heartedly! Thank you Tukul Team :)

A really lovely hotel with a family feel. Beautiful setting in the centre of Lalibela. Very comfortable rooms and super-helpful staff. We were a group of eleven who came for Ethiopian Orthodox Easter. We received a warm welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I can thoroughly recommend it.

We spent two nights at the Tukul Village hotel in Lalibela. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The toilet and shower worked perfectly. The cleanliness of the place was excellent. The staff was amicable at all times. The cuisine was homemade and very tasty, with homemade bread, olive oil, Ethiopian coffee, etc. The hotel has a wonderful garden for outdoor dining. The Tukul Village hotel is highly recommended.

A great place to stay ! Conveniently situated for visiting. Charming traditional style and spacious rooms with all facilities including wi fi. Lovely grounds with trees and flowers. Breakfast with local delicious honey. We only stayed 2 nights and would love to have stayed longer. Beautiful sunset walking distance away. Totally recommend staying at Tukul Village Alex and staff took great care of us.

Excellent stay at Tukul Village. We are 2 sisters traveling from USA. Alex, in reception has worked here 17 years, since opening. Everyone is friendly & helpful & very professional. The food & menu choices are very good. The round tukul rooms are so charming with amazing views. This was better than we expected for first time travels to Lalibela & Ethiopia!

I stayed at the Tukul village in March22, with another person. I would highly recommend Tukul village, as a central place to stay with lovely, attentive staff. As tourists, we were apprehensive of how Lalibela would be given the current lack of electricity and recent challenges, however all the hotel staff made us extremely welcome and comfortable. There was a limited menu (we had been advised by our tour operator of this in advance due to the electricity shortage) but it was all tasty and served speedily. There was also generator on for a few hours so we were able to charge devices for the all important church photos and have hot water for showers!
