Hampton Inn & Suites Austin-Lakeway

We stay in this hotel every time we visit here, so about the last 6 years. The suites are spacious, clean and the beds are comfy. The free breakfast is very good and the food area is neat and clean. The only complaint we have are the common areas. The main lobby where people sit to watch TV and eat breakfast needs to be maintained better. The stools are old and worn out. The couches are dirty and worn. The floor to the elevator needed swept badly. The pool area was messy. It’s a simple fix. It makes a HUGE difference when those areas are neat and clean. Maybe in between customers, the front desk person could make sure those areas are kept neat and clean? It takes a little effort to make a big difference. We may be staying elsewhere next year.

I stayed ther on a business trip on 2-29-24. I got in pretty late and wanted to enjoy a shower. Well the water was not even lukewarm. The next morning i tried again and the water was still the same. The desk clerk also wanted to charge me an extre 114.00, after i had already paid 191.00. Dont know if this was a simple mistake or what. I had planned on staying an extra night, but decided not to and just left. Pretty bad service for a Hampton inn.

Front desk manager was very rude and uncalled for. Front desk seemed very micromanaged, went over his employees head and didn’t give them a chance to speak. Extremely unprofessional. Will NOT be staying here again. Spring Hill by Marriott down the street is much better for the same price.

We were immediately greeted by a very friendly and pleasant front desk professional by the name of Ken. Our room was ready and we were quickly given a key and wi-fi access. We had no wait of any kind. Ken was kind enough to ask if there was anything else we needed and offered us some complimentary fruit or coffee and showed us the well-stocked food, drink and snack room. The hotel was very clean, nicely decorated and inviting. And Ken made us feel like valued customers. Highly recommend this location and will definitely return when back in this area.

We stayed at this property a few years ago and it was fine. This trip the front desk staff were extremely rude and unhelpful. Breakfast was gross. This hotel is run down and the bathroom floors were very sticky. For the amount you pay for the nightly rate do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

The rooms were comfortable and dark, made for a good sleep. Pool area and pool were well kept. Breakfast had plenty of food during the busy times. Staff was friendly and made you feel at home, especiallt Ken.

We bring our dogs when we travel across the country every year and we stay at Hampton Inn’s because they’re pet friendly. Apparently this front office staff did not get the memo. Every time we walked our dogs we were met with suspicion and they weren’t even nice about it. I had to tell them my room number every time I walked by and had to tell them I signed the pet fee papers. Even with the same person who saw me a few hours before. The staff were dismissive, and asking them questions about anything seemed to inconvenience them. Not welcoming at all. Also, some bizarre behavior from a front office person. I had my arms full of stuff and I thought she was going to ask to push the elevator button or help me. (I would have declined). Instead she asked if I had a mirror. Been working in the hospitality industry for decades. Housekeeping staff and Breakfast attendants were great though!! So stay here if you want a great, clean property but want to be treated like crap.

Unfortunately, there were small roaches running around the 2nd floor room we were given. We didn’t notice until late at night after we were settled. The hotel appears to be popular with local service workers. Some construction workers checked in before us. And, some third party restaurant workers came up the elevator with us after we returned from a late night snack. The hotel is behind. Whataburger. The parking lot seemed shared with Whataburger. Service and breakfast were average for a Hampton Inn. If roaches don’t bother you, then, this place is good. I will not go back and I do not recommend.

Highly recommennThe Hampton in Lakeway. Beautiful clean rooms. Excellent service. Quiet! And close to hospital, shopping and restaurants. Easy check in and out with app and app key entry. Breakfast was perfect and so was the coffee. But no tea bags, hope they will add. Hilton, Thank you !!!
