Courtyard Charlotte Lake Norman

What a great Courtyard! First, just minutes away from Birkdale Village with all of their shops, restaurants and great atmosphere. My friend and I were on our way back from Asheville to the Outer Banks and this was a perfect spot to break up the long ride back! Annie greeted us and got us all set with a great room, then really took care of us when the Bistro had to be closed for dinner because a staff person had a personal emergency. Both she and Katie were helpful, hospitable and really went the extra mile. We had a great night, and then a great breakfast in the Bistro before we got underway the next morning. We will definitely keep this Courtyard in mind for future trips!

Initial greeting during checkin in was lacking but after the next front desk staff shift came on it was great. Very friendly and pleasant. Both rooms were clean and comfortable with the usual Courtyard setup. In town to visit for a family reunion. Missed knowing that Bob Dylan and band were staying here, leaving as we checked in. Convenient location.

Had a great stay! Raven and the front desk staff were very friendly, helpful, and improved my stay. Raven in particular killed it and did a fantastic job! He gave me info about the area and knew his stuff. He also helped me get and acquire my needs for my room during his working hours.. He provided a great overall guest experience...

Where do I start. Very dated room ( tiny old tv, dated decor, old fixtures, etc. ) bed was as hard as a rock. Pool was under “maintenance”. No coffee in the room like usual Marriott's I stay with. 1 usb port in the room and that was on the alarm clock. Should have just slept in my car. I have stayed at better Best Westerns than this Mariott.

This is without a doubt the worst managed Marriott I have ever stayed in. Phone doesn’t work desk was abandoned for 15 plus minutes when we needed help. Dog barked and probably urinated on the floors for 30 minutes in the middle of the night when the owner left the room. Will never stay at a Courtyard again and I’m a life time platinum Marriott BonVoy member. General manager would not answer the phone, nor the front desk.

Long day travelling from Ontario to Florida and picked Courtyard Lake Norman, Mooresvilles, NC. We’ve stopped here many times before and enjoyed our stay. This time, it was as if the pandemic was still on. The lobby was dark, single employee watching tv, no coffee area, no pool, nothing. This is a Marriott property???

How do you not have soap? I was here on a business trip. The room had toiletries missing and I tried to call the front desk. The phone didn't have any service, so I went down to the desk. They told me they ordered soap, but had none available. The phone in the room never got fixed.

I wanted to give the new management a chance as several reviews are very old. The good—hotel is updated and rooms are comfortable and clean. At checkin the clerk showed me some things on the app that will make future stays easier. The bad after two consecutive visits—pool is out of order, ice maker on my floor was OOO and the worst part was no licquer license to help unwind at the end of the day.

I am lifetime titanium Bonvoy loyal Marriott guy. This hotel sucks. The staff is good, but the management must be awful. The Bistro was unable to sell almost every cooked item. The coffee was beyond bad, way to weak. AWFUL. The Bistro had lost its alcohol license not that it effected me but made many guest unhappy. The physical appearance was very worn and my door SLAMMED, door closer was bad. The staff knew about it but obviously not a priority to repair. Will not stay here again
