"The building was originally an old peoples’ home before being converted to a hotel a few years ago. As a result it is wheelchair accessible throughout with wide corridors and big doors. It is set in large open grounds equipped with trampolines, football and play areas and with easy walks into nearby forest. There is no reception as such but key codes for outer doors and rooms are sent by email. Also there is no restaurant but two well equipped kitchens for cooking ones’ own lunches and suppers. However there is service at breakfast with a wide and excellent choice. Rooms are large and simple but with plenty of sitting and desk space and an attractive selection of ornaments and pictures, delightfully there is no TV but good wifi. There is a sauna, charged at €10 per hour, much enjoyed. Overall an ideal place to stay not only for elderly couples such as ourselves but very suitable for families."

"1️⃣ No front desk. 2️⃣ I finally got my room number and code, but without the main door code, I couldn't get in. I had to sneak in with other guests. 3️⃣ I couldn't find the air conditioner remote. I called and got a room change. 4️⃣ The shabbiest hotel I've ever stayed in Finland. It's not worth the 800+ price tag. We booked it in Lahti the same night we arrived. All other hotels were booked, but this one... Lesson learned: always book a hotel at least a day in advance. Booking on the day itself is expensive and shabby."
