The Salty Lodge

Great location and we enjoyed the size of the apartments and having a full kitchen! Nice rooftop area with views of the town and beach. Super friendly and helpful staff! Plenty of restaurants and shops in walking distance. Perfect spot if you are looking to stay in Old Town Lagos.

Salty Lodge ideal location and very clean. The room we had was a one bedroom apartment which was perfect for us. Our small deck had a great ocean view! Joanna at the front desk was a pleasure to work with. She gave us lots of good advice on where to go for hikes and which restaurants to go to.

What a wonderful experience and spacious place. Very comfortable as if it was a second home. Staff were extremely helpful and communicative throughout the checkin process. Use of WhatsApp was definitely a plus. The upper floor/rooftop was a nice place to chill and unwind with exceptional views. The hotel is in the middle of everything so finding places to dine was a breeze. Laundry services were speedy and a nice option since it was the third leg of the holiday. When returning to Lagos, this will be where I will stay.

Clean, spacious apartment with an outstanding roof top deck. We were here for 3 nights and it met our needs perfectly. We borrowed the bikes, enjoyed the roof top deck and appreciated the fresh squeezed orange juice in the morning. I would love to return. The staff was excellent. We had a 1 bedroom apartment with a sea view. The apartment was lovely. The bathroom is quite small with no room around sink for toiletries, the bathroom door and shower door did not seal completely. However, these felt like very small issues that would not prevent us from staying here in the future.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Salty Lodge for three nights. We had a streetview 1 bedroom apartment, and thoroughly enjoyed the comfort and space we were provided. The apartment was clean, roomy, stylish, and well stocked. The bed was big and comfortable, and we loved having a small balcony facing the main *****, good for people watching. The rooftop common area at Salty is absolutely beautiful, with great views, and large covered/indoor area to hang out in as well. The location is great, and Lagos is very walkable. We frequented bars and restaurants in the area, and shopped at markets and liquor stores, which allowed us to easily use the kitchen in our apartment. We were stoked on the free bicycles available to guests, and used them to make the trip to Ponte De Piedade much quicker than if we were on foot, but be sure to inspect the bicycles before taking them out, as the first one i grabbed was falling apart a little bit and felt unsafe, but the second bike i used was perfect. The people working the desk at Salty Lodge were both very kind and helpful. The only negative we experienced was not a big deal at all, but it can be a little bit loud here, hearing doors in the hallways close early in the morning, and people in the main street late at night. That didn't tarnish our stay however, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again or recommend to friends. Overall a very positive experience. Obrigado!

This place was Perfect! I wanted to move in full time! We have a 2 bedroom on the 4th floor with a view over the water. It was bright and airy and clean and comfortable. My older son was under the weather with a stomach bug so he spent a lot of time lounging on the rooftop lounge reading while we explored. I was happy he had a nice place to enjoy the view and relax. Everything is right outside the door, groceries, wine,cafe, beaches, museums. We loved Lagos and if/when I return will be at Salty Lodge. Joanna was very helpful at reception and there is regular housekeeping. Can’t say enough, I travel ALOT, don’t hesitate.

The staff is super, apartments clean and well furnished, well central located. We stayed 11 nights and each day everything went very well. On top, we received answers via whatsapp very fast. Recommended. We would choose The Salty Lodge again in the future.

It’s a really great place to stay! Lovely helpful people at the front desk. The whole place looks very cool as well. Small details in your room like fresh oranges in the fruit basket and a new cold bottle of filtered water each day makes it even better. Only thing I personally missed: softer mattresses. I like sleeping on clouds, makes my spine a lot happier -:)
