到了才發現是一座座獨棟的小房子組成的，很驚喜，房間很漂亮，帶露台，園區有室外泳池，臨海，有漂亮的礁石，非常適合度假。

Lage perfekt, direkt an der Felsalgarve, wenige Meter zum öffentlichen Strand Albandeira. Zimmer funktional und sauber, bis auf die kernsanierten 300/400er Nummern allerdings in die Jahre gekommen. Für Familien sind die Apartments mit 2 Schlafzimmern und Kitchinette gut geeignet, lediglich ein getrenntes WC geht ein wenig ab. Die neuen Zimmer haben keine Familiensuiten mehr, man kann aber eine Suite mit einem Deluxe Doppel kombinieren, dann hat man einen ähnlichen Effekt. Das House Keeping ist okay, mit Handtüchern gibt es keine Probleme, alles ausreichend vorhanden. Problematisch ist der ganze F&B Bereich. Das Personal ist weitestgehend führungslos, da nach Eigentümerwechsel kein Management vorhanden ist. Keinerlei Standards. Frühstücksbüffet okay, derzeit Abends auch Buffet, eher ziemlich schlecht. Ab 1.9. soll die Halbpension wieder auf Menü umgestellt werden. Das Servicepersonal ist bemüht, aber leider kaum ausgebildet. Gute Weine gibt es, allerdings muss man nach diesen frqgen und sich selber ein wenig auskennen. Aktiv oder auf einer Weinkarte werden diese nicht angeboten. Im Poolbereich und der Restaurantterrasse ist es regelmäßig dreckig. Stört allerdings niemanden vom Personal.

My husband and I are staying here for the last part of a two week vacation in Portugal. We had looked at reviews and pictures of this resort prior to arriving and were excited to stay here. Upon arrival we could see that the views were beautiful but the resort fell short in every other way. When we checked in our room was not yet ready so we stopped at the restaurant for lunch. While at lunch we had to track down staff to give us a seat, get any drinks, and then to order our lunch. Finally our food came and for a 5 star resort the food was less than subpar. We ordered 2 sodas, a personal pizza, and a cheeseburger and the bill was over $60 usd. The restrooms that were available to use for guests had toilet paper holders that were falling off the walls, soap dispensers that were rusted, and bathroom doors that did not lock. Finally once it was time to check into our room I was at first impressed with how the room looked but that quickly changed. Once in the room we found ants crawling around the bathroom and within 5 minutes we had killed over 10 ants alone. At this point we were frustrated and contacted our travel agent to help resolve this issue. Soon after my travel agent contacted the hotel the hotel then called me personally to say that they were made aware I was “complaining.” During that phone call they never offered anything to make our stay better. We decided to walk around the resort to get out of our room and walked down to the spa only to find all the lights off and the “hot tub” cold. After a long day of travel and frustration we decided we would give the restaurant another try. Unfortunately our experience was not any better with dinner. We both ordered risottos one mushroom and one scallop and prawn risotto. The mushroom risotto was almost all mushrooms that tasted like they were from a can and the scallop and prawn risotto had only two scallops and two prawns. We contacted our travel agent again to have them help with our problems with the resort and then decided to get some rest. The next day we spent the day by the pool where not once did any staff ask if we wanted a drink or to order lunch. When we found a staff member to order lunch they gave us a menu but never came back to take our order. Finally we got our food and after we finished it they never came to pick up the plate so after over an hour we took the plate to them. Since check in we have been working with our travel agent to get a refund for our stay and our travel agent has been met with nothing but pushback. Considering all of the issues we are having a refund is the least this resort could do. This resort has the potential to be a great place because of the scenery but they have a lot to improve on for it to be considered a 5 star resort.

We have had a wonderful 2 week stay. Beautiful scenery, brilliant amenities and we are all feeling very relaxed. The staff have all been so kind, helpful and hard working, the food was delicious, and we would love to return in the future for our 3rd visit. I had a fantastic facial from Paula (still feeling the benefits days afterwards!) and would thoroughly recommend visiting the spa. All in all, a great trip.

This is a review of two halves. Firstly, we love this hotel. It’s laid back, in a great location with roomy and well furnished rooms especially if you go for an upgraded modernised room. But in order to really be considered 5 star, it needs to up its game. Breakfast is depressing. Despite a gorgeous range of summer fruits, fantastic local cheeses and incredible local pastries in this area, sadly none of them make their way to the tired and predictable breakfast buffet. Each day is the same and we ended up bringing our own food from the supermarket. Our air conditioning didn’t work, the fan in the bedroom didn’t work, blinds falling down and mirror falling off the wall. All these were remedied eventually but not soon enough and housekeeping should have flagged these problems up before we arrived. Finally, the cleaning staff put something on my straw hat damaging it beyond repair. Management refused to pay the €40 offering me a discount next time I came. It’s such a pity that lack of attention and lack of caring stops this hotel being truly great.

First the good things: beautiful architecture, breakfast and infinity pool with sea view, good breakfast, beautiful room, close to the beach, surrounded by nature. The not so good: terrible access road with a 5 min one way drive (Cars cannot cross each other), small room, small breakfast food area, minuscule beach, pool is small and needs repairs (tiles missing). The property is very isolated and is more similar to a boutique hotel than a resort, ex: there is no restaurant always available, you have to book with hours in advance. For this price range, you can find better options.

Vila Alba markets itself as a luxury five-star hotel, but sadly, it falls short in nearly every aspect, with the exception of its pretty coastal location and views of the limestone caves. From the moment you arrive, it becomes clear that the hotel's lofty prices do not match the subpar service and facilities on offer. One of the most glaring issues is the lack of a proper bar that is open throughout the day. Guests are left without access to drinks for extended periods, as the bar only operates during meal times, with doors locked in between. The food, while edible, is overpriced for its average quality, although the breakfast is satisfactory. The coffee is a letdown, dispensed from a boxed automatic machine rather than freshly brewed. Room service is available, but with a catch—orders must be placed before 6 pm with a three-hour delivery window, and there are no minibars in the rooms. The air conditioning in our room was noisy and rattled incessantly. The common areas around the pool require a thorough cleaning and updating. Attempts to seek assistance at reception were often futile, as staff were frequently absent, with no indication of when they might return. Vila Alba is grappling with major staff shortages, and the existing employees, while never overtly rude seem overworked, underpaid, and totally disengaged. Many of them do not speak English, further compounding the communication challenges. These shortcomings are particularly disappointing given Vila Alba's marketing itself (and pricing) as a luxury five-star establishment. Other guests we spoke with shared our sentiments, feeling cheated by the disparity between the promised luxury experience and the reality of what is in truth when you discount the pretty setting. This is a very mediocre, very overpriced three-star hotel which doesn’t really care that much about a high quality service for its guests.

My husband and brother n law booked my sister n law and I facials while they were at the golf course on May 25. We weren’t staying at the resort but Paula gave us both the best facials I have ever had..my sister n law said the same (and we have had many!). She was super friendly and kind and she knew exactly what she was doing!! Our facials were customized for our skin and then gave us recommendations to keep it up. She seemed to be taking care of many things but when she was providing me with my facial that was what she focused on. I give her 5 stars!! She’s a keeper!! Thank you!!!

I highly recommend the Vila Alba Resort for a stay on the Algarve. The staff was extremely friendly (Wilson was amazing at reception), and the accommodations were comfortable. Lovely pool area (indoor and outdoor). The restaurant was a bit overpriced, but other options are nearby. Hope to return one day!

My wife and I booked a stay here for our honeymoon and upon arrival learned that all of the bars and restaurants were closed. While the scenery is indeed amazing, we were very disappointed to learn that the amenities we were expecting were not actually there. After talking it over we decided to stay elsewhere. Instead of receiving an apologetic response from the staff (we are understanding that it was off-peak season), we were treated with rude and aggressive attitudes and promises to fight any attempt we made for a refund. While we most likely would have returned and given it a try during peak season, the poor attitude we received made sure that we will never visit this resort again. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Off the beaten path is this beautiful hotel with amazing views from the grounds. We had a 2 bedroom villa with everything you could need. Place was clean, comfortable & in great shape. Breakfast everyday was very good with a great selection. The pools/chairs & sitting area are relaxing. We walked the cliffs that have absolutely amazing views. The public beach is located within walking, very close. Staff were all very friendly & helpful. I didn’t get a chance to try the spa unfortunately. Would definitely recommend coming here as a couple or with a family.
